What have you done to your ride lately?

LOL.. Zooms shoe, 30 zip ties, 50 tire plugs and the sidewall was fixed enough to limp out of Death Valley and escape death.

Looks like the photo is gone... appears to be victim of the data breach a few years back.

Since I'm waiting on new and better tie rods and now extended U bolts, I broke down the rear leafs and installed overload leafs during the mean time

Wish the Russians spent as much time hacking our corrupt politicians as they did hacking TOR. At least we can rest assure our data is on a server somewhere with a bunch of missing emails.

Well the Oreilly's battery in my '01 4Runner is already crapping out after a year. So I ordered an Excide battery for it instead. I will enjoy the 710 CCA instead of 585.

Ha! My good friend, who designed those wheels, said, "Finally, someone used those rims as I intended them to be used!"

Yeah, I got more than my money's worth out of those. The one real distortion you see there was on a Christmas Vacation in DV when I was racing a friend in the same canyon of that Top Gear deal. I was all crossed up and slammed into a microwave sized rock. It may have damaged that ring (and did pull out a threaded hole) but the rim is still true. Many other wheels would have left me stranded. :)

Tommy want wingy..
Finally got my transmission pulled out of the red truck. Man that was an ordeal.
The duals and the trans will be on its way to their new home in a few weeks.
Good news is my rear main crank seal is good so I don't have to replace that.
I also started mocking up my Trans X member. I will cut it to length when the trans is stabbed in.

Now on to working on installing that Transgo shift kit and find an ideal place for the trans cooler.

Took off my RTT and awning rack. Used the hell outta the awning this weekend to stay out of the sun when we were shooting our steel targets.

The replaceable "bead locks" was one of the reasons I wanted them. Maybe I am not as crazy as people think I am!

The side wall was Utah - Elephant Hill was the trail . :)

And just to be clear, we NEVER exceeded 24.9 MPH during that jaunt. :)

Getting tires mounted at a shop. The things these sales guys tell their customers is outragous. Sad that people know so little.

Tie rods completed last night, extra leaf/leaf packs installed, waiting on longer Ubolts that fit the bracket flip kit that should arrive tomorrow

I need to pull my leaf pack apart and lube it up again. Its become squeeky. I have this graphite paint called EZ Slide thats used in dump truck beds, anything that takes lots of abuse and needs to remain slippery. I need to get it all apart and paint it with that shit. I just hate fucking with leaf packs. They are heavy.

Mevotech 80941 looks like they are the similar as oem, but I ordered ultra power which are greaseable, 7mm zerk with no issues, casting seems good and identical to the ACDelCo's time will tell if those wire boots hold up.

Yeah I greased in between all leafs.

I've used similar paint like that on certain parts on Apache Heli's

Really I should have just ordered a new set of leafs, I barely had to use the c clamp to put the clamp bolts and center bolt back on
