What have you done to your ride lately?

Now that I fitted up the gussets. I am now thinking, Was I drunk? I should have put the 1/4" top peices in. Time to cut those out and replace - I think. :)

Typical fitting and gap I'm talking about

That's Mr Asshole to you
Got new tires for the Honda and finally washed and waxed it. Then of course I discover a few things I will probably need to address in the future.
And staying true to how the world works, it rained over night so my car is no longer clean.

Need to rebuild my front end again. Probably time to do a shock rebuild and maybe bushings. Could be time for a rack or maybe rack bushings. I have a NIB rack.

I now understand why I can not have off road vehicles with nice paint, body and wheels. That was a fresh ring on that wheel. May have to go back to the beadlocks.

I may as well include a pic of heaven...

For those lock rings you should just get some made out of a hardened material

The most effed up thing is that had I had the right tire pressure, I think it wouldn't have happened.

Fixed the high beams on the 81. OEM used a -12v to ignite the high beams, new LED's use a +12v. I had built a harness a while back and it worked great on the bench but i was retarded in the install. So to I tackled it and now its all good. Turns out I had a wire to the wrong side of a battery. But I did manage to get everything shielded in split loom and wrapped up nicely. Downside is that these lights kinda suck, I think the high beams put out less lumens than the low beans. Oh well... time for a light bar. :)

Light bars are good. With the way light technologies have changed in the last 10 years, no matter what you go with will be obsolete in a month or two after you install them. :) lol

I have a perfectly good good 30" unit I could install one the front bumper if I build some mounts. Maybe next weekends project. :)

Pulled my Transmission and Transfer case skids off last night to sand them down and repaint them. Once the weather gets a little warmer, I will be sanding and repainting the frame and suspension parts on the truck.

I think installing and removing skids is like a woman giving child birth. It sucks so bad that your brain removes any memory of you doing it, so that way you'll have another child or reinstall skids again. I am hurting this morning.
