What have you done to your ride lately?

Pulled my Transmission and Transfer case skids off last night to sand them down and repaint them. Once the weather gets a little warmer, I will be sanding and repainting the frame and suspension parts on the truck.

I think installing and removing skids is like a woman giving child birth. It sucks so bad that your brain removes any memory of you doing it, so that way you'll have another child or reinstall skids again. I am hurting this morning.

Good luck with the frame. I can un-reccomend Rustoleum rust reformer for top coating rust in small areas you can't sand off. Spent the summer a few years ago fixing up my frame and it did not hold up well at all after a few years of zero use.

Yeah this will be the third time I repaint it. Just part of the maintenance process...

I finally put some quality fog lights on the Tacoma. Baja Designs Squadron Sports. Tired of dealing with one that last a year and burn out. These things are brighter than my headlights! Should have done this the first time around.

Truck looked good when I drove past you the other day to drop my nephew off at his house.

x2 We could use a good Death Valley thread to drool over.
I will keep that in mind. Tax season starts soon. I have been laser focused on work right now but I am certain I will be back soon. :)

Guys came out to the house today to replace the windshield... it was a brisk 32 degrees! They did it in my garage and I fired up the propane heater and used my new heatgun to warm up the seal. But its all done!

They give you a tip for making their day suck a whole lot less?

It would have sucked 100% less if they pulled their damn truck in the garage. We had the big door open. <smh> I suggested it but they said it was ok.

Did you tell them you had to mop the floors a few times, from previous technicians thinking they needed to come back because they thought they forgot a tool or two?

Ahh.. I offered. Figured it was in my best interest to get it done as quickly as possible since I was out there with them.
