What have you done to your ride lately?

Work continued.

Thanks to Ron for letting me use his bender last week to bend a couple 1.5" tubes for the center console.

The patchwork quit floor boards are welded in. You can also see the shifter mounted up and the down tube i added to the door bar.

Charged and mounted up the coilovers. Sitting a little high (3" front and 4" rear) according to the amount of shock shaft showing (~10"/12"). I still need to add the fuel cell, battery, cooler, etc to the rear end so it should come down some. The front only needs fluids added and some misc stuff. Not sure how much it will come down.

Full droop up front

My aluminum sheet for the doghouse still hasnt come in. Apparently, and i quote, "We forgot to load it on the truck. It will have to come on Monday". DaFuq? Going to start on the electrical this week to hopefully get it started by this weekend. Im hoping once i add the weight to the rig, it will settle some. Right now, its just up there too high IMO.

Ordered two new wheel bearings for the Tacoma along with outer CV axle seals and inner Spindle/Knuckle seal. Passenger wheel bearing should be crapping out in less than 10k miles or so.

I love how we can predict when they will go out! lol I'm in the same boat, I have one full spare, one spare bearing with seals (I need to make a full assembly next time I swap out) and I really would like to order two more "spares" to replace before October.

Forgot, I have a trail spare as well... not in the best shape but it will work.

Yeah the storm we had last week reminded me to order some because I had to drive through a few flooded streets so I know the grease might be gone now. Kinda sad but I guess I'll take this problem over more severe reoccurring issues I've had on past vehicles...

@Anathollo gets his from here... and I think I'll try them out Marion Bumper2Bumper Automotive

I was getting from here Blue Pit Bearings | 2003-2016 TOYOTA & LEXUS 4X4 and 4X2 COMPLETE FRONT HUB WHEEL BEARING ASSEMBLIES and the quality is great and they are delivered fast.. but they are also more $$ than the first place.

That is correct. I've been getting mine from Marion Bumper2Bumper. I buy the extra Timken Seals from Amazon because they are cheaper there.

One of the guys in NJ I know sells them as well. He was one of the first 2 to offer them. Rich got a bad one from him - no idea how that happened or how good he treated Rich, but everyone local to me uses him and has had better luck.

If a water crossing is ruining your guys bearings - there are greater issues at play. I have about 30k on my replacements of water/mud/salt use with zero issues. Initial set lasted over 60k of the same conditions.

I ordered from him before, he didn't pack them well enough to journey the travels to Texas the hubs were hitting each other from shipping I ended up with two wheel studs that were fubar

Yikes. Thats three bad bearings from him for Texas customers. Kevin should know better.

All I see on fakebook when I log on is him literally surrounded by hundreds of Timken boxes and a press in the background.

I bought mine from MarionBumper2Bumper and was happy with his service and quality. Of course, we'll see how the quality of the bearing holds up over time now. Still need to replace my inner seal and get back to those tie rods. Why does school have to take so much time and effort? It keeps me from my truck.

massive mod today... about the extent of what I can do these days. ;)

Some aluminum looms to keep my Crown air lines from rubbing against each other. I'll be honest, I just liked the look. :)

At this point you are doing more than most and more than you should be doing. I agree; they do look clean that way
