What have you done to your ride lately?

I bet it has to do with all the diesel emission crap/DEF
It has to do with cost. Costs more to maintain a diesel overtime...and the new diesels are not user friendly whatsoever...

Oh I agree, those farmers/ranchers are on a trend down here, trade in diesel and drive out with a gasser

Sorry Scott, I was agreeing with what you said as well. Just realized my comment didn't come off that way.

Thanks. I ordered some that should be here this week. I just wanted to check it off my list as I have a busy one this week. :)

I hear ya, I ordered some last year.

Yeah don't use those. They are junk and not reusable...
:) It's my fuel line with 'quick connectors' on them. I say quick connectors because if you don't wrap them, they suck to disconnect. :) I plan on NEVER reusing them and at the same time, I'm far more comfortable using these over the Chinese threaded clamps. :)

What have I done to my ride(s)? Did the 500 mile break in oil change on front n rear diffs after my re gear job. Really liked what I saw, and didn't see coming out. Now I need to get the flying silver brick to hit some trails. Also put a CBI bumper on my wife's 13 T4R this weekend with the help of an engine hoist and a few friends that were there to drink beers and point fingers.

Curious - did the bumper have any other gussets or bracing for welding to the frame? It looks good on there.

Bumper came welded up bare metal and mounting points looked beef already. The mounting points on the runner were what I welded thicker plate to. Place called Kore 4x4 or something similar had them pre fabbed. Basically just cut the weld nuts off the back, drill out the holes to 1/2", mount the plate, weld the new nuts, and weld the plate. She's not gonna be winching, but wanted a little added strength. When I pull my bumper off my truck to fix the winch, I'll do the same, but add some gussets to the frame.

@tex Might want these plates. I can bring my welder over to weld them up for you before the install so we don't have to use your HF welder.

Adam already said he could weld them in but are those plates really necessary?

Frame horns are pretty thin. IMO it needs more than just that.

It does need more than that...it'll still rip off from the frame as well.

We had a real good discussion going in the BS thread. I should have cut it out and started a dedicated winch frame prep thread.

Went from a Gadget designed solution to a mo-better solution for tieing in an external filter. I will fab up a few detail pieces instead of the ghetto ties, but you get the picture. Leak-free, o-ring sealed fuel lines. :) Note that I already wrapped the OE "quick diconnects" as they are no long quick when the get packed with dust and mud. I will do the same for the new ones. :)

Although you can't see it in this picture, because of the smaller diameter hose (5/16" vs 3/8") and the 90° fuel line fitting, the loop can be better protected since it is on the frame rail side instead of the driveshaft side of the fuel lines. :)

Installed a tramsmission and transfer case skid. Plan to do the lower link skids this weekend.
