I would have fixed them the first time.. dude you have the skills. Just make him compensate you with some $$$ and fix it yourself.
The first time would have taken more than I wanted to put into it. The rear frame mounting plate and leg needed to be completely redesigned. Had I known it was going to take 4 months for the new one thiugh, i pribably would have done it. The only issue with it this time is that the rear leg is welded about 1" too far back. I told him I could do it and he said he'd send me the new leg and mounting plate so that I wouldn't have to worry about cutting this one off and it being too short. He offered to compensate me in cash or skid plates. I chose skid plates. In the end, it's not necessarily his fault. Yeah, he took a long time on this last version but Toyota apparently has an unknown amount of different layouts for the KDSS components. He can only design around what he has access to which is somehow different that the layout on mine. We didn't know that at the time. I'm not real pleased with the timeline but he's been more than willing to do what he can to make sure they work for me. And I like the design and functionality of these 10x more than the other offerings. So yeah, if I could go back to August, I'd order a different set. But for where I am now, this sokution so best .even if he gave me a full refund and I ordered a set from someone else, it would be another 4 months of waiting for them.
