What have you done to your ride lately?

For any of you that replace the bushings in the OEM LCA's - I would put an outer sleeve on those puppies when you have them apart. The TC lowers may be overkill but the OEM has weakness that could be bolstered with a little metal and weld rod. :)

Use lots of lube! Recently (while replacing my leaf spring bushings) I found the absolute best lube. Wheeler's included it in the bushing kit for the leafs. I got some on my hands and could NOT get it off no matter how hard I tried. It's VERY thick. Perfect for stuff under the truck where water would normally wash it out. I contacted them and figured out where I could get a larger quantity instead of the tiny little squeeze tubes. Link below.
You weren't kidding about sticky that lube is! Stuck to everything!

Got some parts coming this week for a few upgrades. Uniball for @Silverback old TC UCA. Already have the bushings so they will be like a new set. These will get installed just in time since my bushings on the stock UCA are popping more and more.
Also have the solid bearing from ECGS coming to replace the needle bearing.
Finally have some new rear springs coming that are a bit softer than what I have.

Taco has a TSB for the needle bearing now. Have not called about mine yet, so I don't know what it covers.

I dont think my needle bearing is bad yet but figured if I am working on the rig in that area it's a cheap enough part to go ahead and do it.

Wait...needle bearing in the 4R?
PS: I still have the bearing puller tool of yours. Happy to bring it back and or help out if you need anything.

Bearing puller? I think you got that from Luke on TW.
Yes the 4runner has a needle bearing. I think it's better than the Tacoma but the part is cheap and I will already be working on it. Casey has the puller as well and I think we are going to try and knock it out this weekend.

Ordered a pistol magnetic mount to secure my pistol in the console. Hopefully it works good enough. Also have a single mag holder coming for the door pocket.

Oh shit that's right. I think it was the coil over spanner you let me borrow (that I DID return).

Is it a different part number? I still have mine. - Probably the only thing I haven't changed! lol

Looks like it is the same part number. Only reason I ordered is because the needle bearing on my tacoma went out around 75K miles and I have 60 now.

What was the symptom? Noise? I can't hear much over the KM2s! lol

I heeded your advice and only rebuilt mine once. Not worth my life or those of the others driving around me to keep throwing parts at them when I know of their inherent structural flaws. I won't even sell them for fear of that issue. Just keep them for spares.

Honestly Ive been nervous about them ever since you told me so the upgraded LCA's will allow me to hit some stuff with much less fear this spring (fingers crossed).

Got the UCA rebuilt and installed along with the rear springs. The back came down about a half inch and is much softer so these might be the springs I have been after for the past year.

Hey, all belts are supposed to be in 3 pieces right? For optimum traction?

Finally got enough of the garage cleaned to get the Tacoma in for some much needed love. Timing belt and water pump, plugs and wires, all new drive belts, new washer fluid reservoir, new passenger fender, new headlights, and new corner lights all happening soon.
