Normally I wipe that shit off with a rag.. but I was focused on the ceramic spray and it was fucking hot. Shit my shoulders are killing me right now from all that rubbing. LOL I'll have to wipe them down tomorrow.

Oh I know. I appreciate a small to moderate amount of tire shine on a clean vehicle.. but sometimes its just crazy. Maybe 10 years ago VatoZone sold matte finish tire "shine".. I liked that stuff.

I filled up with fuel tonight and the sun was just right and man that ceramic spray made that metal flake pop!

There are supposedly 19 screws holding it on.. wish I had @PSU Taco85 's or @Taco Loco's lift about now.
You're welcome to use mine, just leave your guns and manhood at home while you pay to enter the 2nd worse state. I think you'll find it's easier to remove the 19 screws in your own state without a lift

Spent some time this morning locating my door panels for my 81. Got them sorta installed. Can't find the door handle pull guards. Anybody know where I might locate a set? Edit.. found a place. 1981 Toyota Pickup Front Door Lock & Handle - Toyota Parts Deal
Also fired up the paint booth, AKA "Rattlecan" and shot some much needed paint on the front and rear bumpers and rear axle assembly. Looks mucho betta'.

I did Charlie's Creek with a few folks this past weekend and washed the mud off yesterday. I actually applied tire shine for the first time in a long while.
Walmart sells some Turtle Wax tire shine that sucks at the actual "shine" part. If you want a matte finish, a.k.a. tire cleaner, you might want to look into it. I'm pretty sure it is the cheapest one they sell.

Changed the oil in the van on Sunday. I will say that I have found the one thing that is superior to the 4Runner.....the oil filter. Easy access and a spin on. I hated the media replacement process on the 4Runner.
Stopped at Discount Tire today to see what they wanted to do about my tire. They were surprised the tire held up so well after getting punctured at highway speeds. In the end the new tire was covered under the road hazard warranty and it cost me $30 for the warranty on the new tire.

Got the door panels reinstalled on the 81. Ordered new door pull guards, ordered in tan/beige.. fuckers showed up in black. So nothing a can of Rustoleum tan bedliner can't fix! Note high tech paint booth! I'm still finishing up the drivers side, needed to take a break cause its hot and my balls feel like they are in a swamp. I still need to push and tug on the passenger side panel and see if I can get some of the wrinkles out... but fuck its 38 years old, things get wrinkles at that age. ALso, it looks way better in person... pics make it look very light color but its not.

Oh and I think the 81 might have found new home. Got some interested in it.. will know more in a few weeks. Either way I will continue to eat the elephant and make it better.. one small bite at a time. Little one is pissed that I am selling it. Neighbor told her she could drive the Taco.. she said "No, I want that one"... the 81. What is a dad to do?
