USAA is expensive, but they cover more, you better print off and line by line the numbers, I have done it for years.

I don't think Geico, Liberty and Progressive does not offer/include the "$100,000 each person medical payments" also check the $5000 each person Personal Injury Protection.
double check it and let me know.

I saw that when you posted it the first time. I'll check when I'm not at work.

Progressive is now the cheapest at $133.

I've done all my comparison by auto only, but would move the house to "bundle and save" as everyone claims. So FWIW, my comparison is auto only and have not done the bundled quote, so those rates are compared to the "bundled" USAA rate.

I figure I'll spend some time when I'm not at work and put together a spreadsheet showing what I get with USAA and list how the others compare.

I tried to see if USAA made sense for me but apparently I live in a hail storm alley so they ended up being more than where I was/am. Geico is getting my business this go round but I have had my motorcycle with them for years now.

I was with Germania, back to USAA as of last month, because Germania took a huge hit with Hurricane Harvey, there are few other insurance companies out there that was cheaper by a couple hundred bucks, bottom line is, what ever insurance companies anyone decides on, the company needs to have very good financials to back up claims if a catastrophic event occurs.

The last thing anyone wants, is to file a claim with an insurance company and they give you a check that's worth nothing because it bounced.

and if anyone mortgages get sold to Mr. Pooper, @Oswego you will find out that they will force more insurance on you than you really need.

On that note, my mortgage with USAA is "serviced" my nationstar...still says Nationstar and I'm pretty sure they all changed to Mr Pooper many months ago. I'm wondering how much I'm over paying there....

Yep you have Mr. Pooper, just sit back and wait to get :bentover: by them.

No seriously keep a close eye on everything with Mr. Pooper, do not go paperless, they had to change names because the amount lawsuits, BBB and complaints to state AG’s. Mr. Cooper is notorious for constantly changing loan terms/conditions and payment amounts to get a ‘got ya moment’ if you happen to let your guard down.

This x 100000000000

Ive been stuck with mr pooper for months and Ive had nothing but issues. Keep every e-mail and IMHO pay everything through their third party western union. Never send a check by mail to them. At first I though they were great because their website is better then my old one, but they plain out suck donkey d*ck.

My issues were all related to me paying towards my principal and them putting that money into anything and everything but my principal. At one point my mortgage was prepaid for almost 6 months because they kept deferring my principal payments to monthly payments. My statements from them are ridiculous. Also if you have to get any of them on the phone record everything - they have lied to me numerous times so now that I have a good contact and his e-mail I put it all in writing.

One good thing they do is pay my taxes on time. Seterus used to wait until I had my house up for Sheriffs sale before they would pay the taxes and our local gubment accountant said that was their standard practice so it's nice not to get scary notices int he mail for nonpayment of taxes lol.

The Fed Reserve Board meets at the end of this month 29-30th, another rate change is expected by economists, keep track of the mortgage interest rates, refinancing might be a good option.

Thinking I’m gonna put new wheel cylinders in the drums on my 4Runner. Question is, do I get parts from Rock Auto or from Autozone? They’re half the price on Rock Auto...anyone have any experience with any of the brands on that website? I’m not buying OEM parts. Keep in mind this is a budget build for a ranch truck

On rockauto I’m sure there is like 67 brands to choose from, brands are classified , one will be a daily driver choice or economy choice.

I order from rock auto quite often in the past, You set up an account and order, there is a way to check shipping as well.

If you go local is usually twice as much, that’s time and convenience factor, RA 2 or 3 days shipped, low cost factor.

Yeah I was looking at Rock auto. Didn’t know if one brand was more reputable than another. Acdelco is the only one I’ve heard of

When comparing Rock Auto to Amazon prices I find Amazon usually wins with cheaper shipping or no shipping. Like always; I compare the off shelf brand to Camelback to see if the cost savings are enough to not go with OEM Toyoda.

Thing about RA is the 15% restocking fee... make sure you get the right part the first time.

RA with shipping, has always had cheaper OEM filters and fluids for the Ferd, and few other parts like wiper blades.

Some of my 2019 orders,

There is a bit of trick on how to do their shipping...when you build the order, check shipping costs, the parts shows what warehouses they are shipped from, if multiple warehouses, separate the items by location, many times it’s best to break up the order and the shipping for 2 orders is cheaper than lumping it all into one.

I rarely buy any auto parts from Amadong, I just have a junk email with all the autopart stores, and a couple dealerships, I just check my email promo codes, similar to ones I have posted in Temp Deals thread

I tend to do more maintenance items through Rock Auto in bulk so as to make the shipping worth it. So one good order every year for both vehicles to maximize the savings.

For some reason I don’t think it allowed me to use the 30 off and free ship, but I got a nice rated AGM battery for $145 using 25% off and free shipping on the parts that were not normally stocked.

I have yet installed that xsm pan though...
Like yota, Ferd doesn’t put drain plug on the transmission, easy fix with aftermarket parts.
