I've got a pile of parts stacking up for my Tacoma and it looks like I need to add a new clock spring to the mix. A few weeks back, I put in a new horn fuse and the horn worked. The old fuse didn't look blown, but I figured it must have blown somewhere that wasn't in the viewing window. Then the horn stopped working again. It will intermittently work. The clock spring came up in several articles about the horn not working. Thankfully, the airbag light is not on and the radio and cruise control buttons still work. I was able to honk yesterday anytime I made a left turn.
Pretty sure that is my problem. What's another $200+
My current maintenance list:
CV axle swap (need to reboot OEM axle first. Had the parts over a year....lazy.)
LCAs (waiting until the CV is ready)
EVAP canister (need to get torx bits)
Sway bar end links (either same time as CV/LCA or maybe sooner since the vehicle is supposed to be on its own weight)
AC resistor (I'm just lazy. In my defense, I have to cut and splice in a new connector as the new ones are a square and not in-line)
Clock spring (need to order)
Current mod list:
Install AAL (need more jack stands. Plus, did I mention lazy?)
mount front camera and connect a switch (Get off my ass already! We all know I'm lazy)
