Less odds of it getting stolen maybe
Just got it today, so I've only put rain x on the windows, removed the 4x4 decal and swapped all my work shit over to it. Selling the F150. This new one is a 250 with the new 7.3 gas. Other then the gas, 10-speed and short bed it's literally a 2022 version of my old 2017.View attachment 37364View attachment 37365

So far so good. It only has 90 miles on it right now, fuel mileage is around 17-18 average. Running 18oo @ 70mph. Has plenty of get up and go so we shall see how it does once I have more miles on it and tow. I'm not a fan of the michelins that are on it, kinda loud IMO.hows the new gas engine?
I did dig out the chrome center caps I had factory on my 17' and put them on it....bling blingJust got it today, so I've only put rain x on the windows, removed the 4x4 decal and swapped all my work shit over to it. The guys at Cali Raised are super cool. Gonna swing by their shop soon to pick up some more 4Runner stuff. They're like 5 miles from @tex house.Made some sweet love to the Taco today. Installed bed stiffeners from Cali-Raised. Wanted to go TC but for the $$ and free shipping and supporting a Texan company.

Took the coilovers this morning and had the coils reinstalled on them. Had time to get one coilover installed and get the passenger side of the front end put back together. Had one hang up when installing the spindle with the TC gusset attached. The ball joint on my SPC uppers do not have enough thread to allow the stock castle nut to thread on far enough to get a cotter pin through the bolt. Obviously the gussets are built around TC UCAs which use a uniball so it's as simple as swapping bolts to get enough thread to make up for the extra 1/8" of the gusset you now have to clear. My temporary fix is a nylock nut and a touch of blue loctite. The nylock goes on just far enough to get some engagement between the threads and nylon. I ordered some low profile M14x1.50 castle nuts from Belmetric but I'm not exactly sure how much shorter than the stock ones they are. Hopefully the nylocks will hold until they get here and I can see if they'll work. If the low profile castle nuts still aren't short enough to work I guess my only option will be trading someone for their stock spindles since I have no interest in swapping over to uniball UCAs.

I've had two sets of uniballs. Nothing I did could make them stop squeaking and they never allowed enough adjustment to get a proper alignment. Plus I have KDSS so no need for super duper flexy stuff on my truck.Whats the beef with uniballs? I’d take them over the SPC junk arms any day of the week. You can swap them out for rebuildable units from EMF if you’re worried about wear.
