600 miles on the shitty Michelins was enough. Damn things rode rough and were loud. Putting on some geolanders.

Brakes are adjusted, bled, and took the truck for a spin. All the speed sensors seem to be working, and no more differential fluid leaking from the pumpkin or the axle tubes :D

While I had the truck on the lift I touched up the frame with some of the Eastwood Rust Encapsulator. I was impressed with how it laid out on the frame, you can paint it right over the rust spots. We'll see how it holds up. 1 can did both frame rails inner and outer up to the boxed portion by the trans mount. I'll have to touch up the front of the frame another time.

Both trucks are back in their proper resting quarters lol

While you're working on the rear suspension, order all the goodies from Archive Garage and fit some 14" travel Kings back there.
I love their stuff! :)

He won't get any travel out of them sitting in his garage. I just said fit the shocks back there lol

true haha, I've got 12" kings on mine but they also don't get much travel sitting in the garage. Reasonably, I think you can expect around 8-9" of travel on the Dakars if you bend them to inversion. With Drew's shackle flip on mine, it gets by decent for a cheaper setup.

Oil change, tire rotation, and I continued troubleshooting my 4wd today. I was reading on another forum that there’s a microswitch in the transfer case actuator that can go bad. The poster said he tested his and determined it was bad because it displayed high resistance when tested on a multimeter. After he cleaned the contacts, his system began working again. I did the same test and my switch showed 0 Ohms so I put everything back together and am heading back to the drawing board. I am debating taking it to the dealership for them to run a diagnostic test on it. Maybe they can pinpoint where in the chain of events I am having a malfunction. I sure would like to have my 4x4 back working for deer season.

Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and take it in.

If you're good with a meter, run through the attached procedure here.
