Are you still running a rear sway bar? I was going to reinstall mine but after some research it seems it will hit the actuator on the e locker. Just wondering/warning if you've experienced the same?

Hit the actuator? I have not seen that so far. I am still running it without issue to my knowledge.

Just bring tools to remove it should it be an issue. :)

Wasn't an issue at Hidden Falls but I will keep an eye on it this trip. I doubt we will do anything this trip worse than I do/ have done to it already.

I liked watching take those twisty roads in Arkansas cornering on the door handles. :)

You would have really loved watching me in the mountains on the way to Broken Bow. I knew I was going into an oh-shit moment when I saw @tex start to roll some. I think I figured out a good way to make the stock sway bar detachable at the ends for trails and easily reattach the ends for roads.

Make sure you can remove the body of the link or have it be attachable to the bar...I had some "pull the pin" QD's that left the link hanging and they quickly got FUBAR

Yeah; thinking of capturing the cross bar of the sway bar and having the ends completely removable so they do not tear anything up.

You Pfucker I was worried my installation of new brake lines, wheel cylinders, and front calipers... we're going to fail, definitely going to have rotors turned and put green pads back on, we went down that mountain way too fast

You probably don't have much brake pads left on that trailer driver side tire, it locked up quite a bit throughout the trip

So this is what I am thinking for detachable sway bar ends: replace a section of the sway bar on each end with interlocking tube clamps, then fabbing up a restraint mount to go above the sway bar to keep the end out of the way/ from damaging anything. (Where the second piece of painters tape is)

Cut/ weld in the tube clamp where the blue painters tape is.

Have you looked at the detachable sway bar links Jeeps use? Ex BIL had them and they were very simple. Pull a pin, pull sway bar link and connector up and connect to a secondary mounting point. Done.

I have thought about some sort of switchable link; but have not put much thought to it lately. I will try to explore that route again before cutting the sway bar.

Most of the problems I saw with them before were end connection issues or that they did not lend to a way of securing the sway bar out of the way.

It has a pin you install up top and lock the end link into it. Worked awesome. But in your case I don't think you can swing the end link around your steering linkage.
