I did not get boots with them but was already thinking about a rock guard or something of the nature.

I can say when mine finally did start rusting it was only the bodies and heims. Their chromed shafts held up great, but mine are in front so they don't get blasted with rocks like your rear suspension would.

Back and front shocks are all on now. The test drive went really well and tomorrow morning it is getting an alignment.

Nice!

Only "King" tip I can provide you may already know and have done but put the bottom coil adapter's slotted "hole" for the shaft facing rearward/lowest point. Will help it drain foreign objects and wet stuff.

Was really close after a drive around the neighborhood. Going to see how it is after a couple hundred miles and an alignment.

@Oswego
I will have to check but these were all side/spot specific.

It should be free spinning and held in place by coil tension. once you relieve coil tension its got the slot so you can pull it out and remove the coil w/o having to pull off the top hat.

just took a pic of mine for ya

not a big deal either way, but over time I like my stuff to drain vs build up

Alright... after this I am done for a while. The money tree needs to replenish some green. I planned on getting home early to install these springs this afternoon but I ended up working a 13 hour day. So tomorrow I will install these ToyTec springs. They are supposed to be same as the SuperLift springs they sold before.

Also a shout out to ToyTec for intelligent marking of their springs - P for Passenger and D for Driver side. Not that L and R crap.

ToyTec springs are installed now. So far it sits about 1" lower than it did with the old springs + spacers. I am going to leave it with 200 lbs in the back next week while I am traveling to help settle them a bit quicker.

Just a little taller than the OME 891 springs.

They were still pretty easy to install. Just take the tire off and lift it at the hitch to raise the body. The spring will go in pretty easy.

Might be optical illusion, but the OME look like a thicker spring. What is the weight rating of each?

If that's the dame as the old Superflex springs, the Toytecs are 240lb. According to the chart, the OME 891 is 210lb.

^^ what he said. The ToyTecs use a better progressive spring setup and are a few inches taller.

They rode great on the test drive tonight; wish I had done this years ago.

Hmm, they look smaller and I would expect them not to hold as much. Cool

How the 4Runner is sitting today. Apparently it is lifted right at 2" in the front and 3" in the back over stock. I will see how it settles in the coming months though. I also picked 17" TRD rims from @RichardB23 yesterday. It will be later this year before I put them on though.

Looking good! Which rims did you get? Are you swapping out the faux locks for them?

Swapped out the tensioner pulley for the s/c after work today. It was pretty quick and I only dropped the wrench one time. It is shiny and pretty now but I think after 6 months it will blend in with the rest of the motor nicely.

I'm not catching up very quick. I'm about to roll 150k in 1500 more miles.

I wish I had my 4Runner when it was that low mileage. Maybe it would not have needed a transmission swap at 300k miles. How is the shift kit doing? Still feeling a difference or is it not noticeable now?
