Just got off the phone with 4WP... got some pretty good news. He said there are only 20 on backorder and they are shipping out about 6 a week.. and I have had mine on order for 2 weeks already. So he said they predicted it would arrive in 3-4 weeks! Cool. Now lets just hope that's the case.

Build party when you get it?

Sure!! They say it won't take too long.. 3-4 hours.

Yeah pretty much. I do plan to do several modifications to it though. Possibly even a better chassis for it. I'm not a big fan of it's uni-body style chassis. We'll see.

Depending on how many pieces it comes in, a few well-placed welds would add a lot of peace of mind over bolting it all together.

Bingo! And maybe the RTT will arrive before so that will also need to be installed.

The one thing I probably won't have is rims and tires. I need to get the thing and figure out what replacement hubs I can use that will have the same bolt pattern we use. I know there are several places that sell the drums I'll just need to measure what I.D. is on the drums and if I can find something to work. Really don't want to use spacer adapters... although I was also thinking the adapters wouldn't be horrible as it would make its track closer to the Tacomas and make it a little more stable on side slopes.

It is not a war crime the first time.

Go straight to electric or surge brakes. Just make sure I know what kind of plug is required so I can wire my 4R for when I borrow it.

Oh yeah; can I borrow it?

LOL.. it comes with brakes already to include a parking brake even! Pretty sure I read its a 7 pin connector.

No. :)

I think you can stick the standard 6 on 5.5 hub of chevy and use yotas rims iirc that correctly

It comes with 5x5 hubs so I have to get adapters or swap hubs.

Swap hubs, cheap I think I replaced the ones on my trailer for like $35 each

Yota wheels work on chevys, chevy wheels no workie on Yotas because of center hole size iirc

Randy @taco4x4rar would know for sure

I'm using the same rims as the truck. I just need to make sure the hubs fit with the trailer brakes already on the unit.

My most recent backpack trip included no tent, a themorest pad, a sleeping bag, a pack, smoked salmon, a protein bar and a water pump. Only 8 miles - hiked in dark on way in and rolled out in light. Saw a bald eagle on way out. :) I think I would be successful if I became homeless.

My small trailers don't have brakes so it may be a bit more

Yeah this one has electric brakes and I looked online, 6x5.5 hub for brakes was about $51... BUT I don't know if it will fit over the brake assmebly.. I need one with the same inner diameter on the brake surface.

Well.. RTT is on order! She said that the one I ordered was the most popular one this GB.. wonderful.. I'm thinking backordered until December. But then she said I am #8 on the list (of 28) and I will for sure get one as soon as they come in.. which is supposed to be in a week or so. <fingers crossed>

My most recent trip was to a cabin last weekend. Unloaded my car in 10 minutes - then sat on my rear for 4 days strait lol

Little kayaking and hiking, but primarily just sat and watched nature and tended to my redneck tv.
