No and no.

Saturday we were tent camping 'by the river' in Kerrville.

Sunday, we went to the Pacific War Museum and WWII Combat Show, really nice place, your museum tickets are good for 48hrs, tons of reading if your a history buff. Young kids move through museums too fast.

The Navy actors also reminded the Marines, "No the Marines do not walk on water!"

When I was in the Revolutionary War Museum last year I ended up ditching everyone I was with. They were all talking and glancing at stuff while making jokes. I was reading the plaques and paying attention because I was interested. Even then I still missed 1/2 of the stuff. Pretty sure I could spend a day or two in that place and still not let it all sink in.

I have been there a few times and I always get choked up. One of my grandfathers served in the Pacific fleet on the B.B.-38. Y’all may recognize her from this photo or as the sister to the Arizona.

She fired more ammunition than any ship in US naval history but sadly is mostly forgotten. In fact she fired so much ammunition that she got the nickname “Old falling apart” due to the amount metal she expelled. The Japs reported her sunk twice because of the smoke cloud from her guns. In the end she survived nuke testing after the war but was so radioactive she had to be scuttled at sea.

Sadly they don't build them like they used to. If your grandfather is still around, thank him for his service, I still believe his generation was the greatest. It was guys faking their age to join up young. Not running to another country.. balls built of brass. Solid American hero's there.

He passed a few years back, but I visit the National Cemetery from time to time. Once my daughter is old enough I'm going to take her there so she can learn what real heroism is and the sacrifice that is required.

Out of the 16million+ WWII Veterans...
Only 500,000+/- WWII Veterans are still alive, sadly 300-500 WWII Veterans die each day.

My uncle who just past was an Annapolis grads and submariner. He received two Silver Stars. One for downing the first Japanese Aircraft Carrier. He truly was a bad ass too. :)

I need to do some research on one of my great uncles. My grandmother showed me one of his patches from the war. I knew he was in the Navy but I never know he was a C.B.

I'm going to try this Airbnb out, signed up a pretty nice place for the family to stay at, much better than a hotel room and the price was about the same.

It is a legit link... just shows @Taco Loco 's dick... you barely notice it. Like serious, I didn't notice it at all. ;)
