Picked up 1k of Aguila 22LR Subs for frog hunting this season. I've had good luck with the 60gr so I'm hoping the 40gr will be just as good.

Should be picking up my first Glock from my FFL this week. I feel late to the game ha ha. Glock 21 with all the parts for a 10mm conversion. Also got a 10/22 receiver to throw onto my magpul stock and bull barrel on.

Barrel came in two days early and couldn't resist slapping it together real quick. I still need a c clip for the ejector door to finish the upper.

Upper list:
Cheap off brand upper.
Reused forward bolt assist I had.
Damage industries ejection door & rod (crazy cheap parts. Y'all should check em out).
CMMG 9" .22LR barrel.
CMMG .22LR bolt.
Dead Air 1/2x 28 thread protector (until suppressor gets out of jail).
SLR Ion Ultralite 9" handguard.
Primary Arms .22LR 1-6x scope.
Vortex 3" cantilever scope mount (might swap out for a 2" in the future).

I got the barrel and bolt for $100 off with free shipping on sale. I got the scope as a blemished unit from Primary Arms for super cheap. It had one little dot on the finish as far as I could tell. Glass is immaculate.

This is the first upper I've lapped the barrel extension on. Seems to have needed it.

But this is why I hate cheap parts. Upper color doesn't match and it has this large gap in the back. If it leaks too much gas when running suppressed, I'm going to be swapping it out for a proper upper (V Seven Weapons upper ).

Build a 22LR upper. They are so much fun and cheap to shoot.

300BO is only good if you have a suppressor. It's a worthless round without a supressor. Also, make sure you buy a premium barrel for it.

Worthless is pretty strong. It is a solid round that compliments a good AR build when used under 200 yds - maybe 300 if the load is hot and a good hunting bullet is used. The great use of the 300 BO is suppressed though.

And now I am going to order a few more things to finish my 458 SOCOM upper.

I bought the cheapo 300bo PSA $350 upper and have been impressed with it. My 16" black nitrite barrel was shooting MOA with match ammo at 400 yards.

Sorry, what I'm getting at is, if your shooting unsuppressed then I'd just rather use a better bullet then. But sittings suppressed you can't beat 300BO.

400 yards? What ammo were you shooting?
And the premium barrel is more for how the round feeds. I've seen companies mess up the feed ramp angle and had it personally happen to me where certain rounds/brands of ammo will not feed correctly or at all.

I think it was made by Ozark Ordnance but I don't think they are in business anymore. Vertical correction was stupid. Something like 8' I think

I probably should do a 22 upper so that I can get Taylor familiar with the AR platform. But I dont really see me ever using it for anything else. I'm pretty damn fond of my 10/22.
