Sounds about right. I had an 18" drop between 100-200 yards with my old 16" 300BO barrelI think it was made by Ozark Ordnance but I don't think they are in business anymore. Vertical correction was stupid. Something like 8' I think

I had a build that sat around for a while because I couldn't decide what caliber to chamber it in. Kind of wanted a .300AAC and kind of wanted another 5.56 but with a 1:7 twist instead of the 1:9 that I already had. I kept an eye out for a sale on the barrel that I wanted and waited for over a year. Enter: Primary Arms with a sale on Bear Creek Arsenal barrels. Guaranteed sub 1" MOA at 100 yards on all 16" or longer barrels. .300AAC 16" barrel for $70.
That pretty much sealed the deal on going .300AAC. Shot consistent groups of cheap ammo at 100 yards and I was content. Then put on a suppressor and sighted it in with Sig sub-sonic ammo. Hog hunting was fun that trip. I am happy with it suppressed or not. I haven't had a chance to test it long range yet, and I don't own the suppressor (the person who owns it was with me the whole time). So now I either need to get a suppressor or sight it back in for super sonic ammo. I vote suppressor

I will +1 vote for the suppressor. Once you start shooting with one it is hard to not shoot with one again.

that should be standard practice for every one, all the time IMHO. No one besides a ATM ever see's my bank CC and 9/10 times that ATM is at the banks branch.
I got my 76yo mother to adhere to this practice so I know anyone can do it. She used to use her bank card everywhere. About the same time I found she had almost 6 figures in $$ sitting in that same account making zero interest
I got her to change her ways.

Can't go wrong with a Vortex or Primary arms. Primary arms makes a 22LR BDC reticle 1-6x. It's what I have on my upper.
Yep they are terrible and know for getting your CC info stolen. Anytime you want to buy from them you need to request a temporary CC # so you can use it on their website.
Sad to see them going through these problems. They used to be my go-to place for basic parts and setups.

You need to check out Damage Industries for cheap parts now. They make like 70% of AR parts as a whole (sell them to other companies who then rebrand them as their own parts) and the owner of the company started his own online website because he was getting sick of how much other companies were charging for his parts IIRC.
