"While I agree that it would have been nice if the ATF had publicly announced their decision to the general public back in July of 2018.
I'm more pissed at SB Tactical for not having done that. Yes I know they were working with the ATF to come up with some sort of language to use on their website, but they've know since July of 2018 and only recently (Mar/Apr) removed any "ATF Compliant" verbiage from their website.
It appears that SB Tactical removed any changed to pistol braces’ legality between March and April of this year, 2020.
Guess that copy of their "open letter" from Mar of 2017 that I carry is worthless."
"I would use this analogy, a drug manufacturer comes up with a new drug that everyone loves and has no harmful side effects. They have the FDA review an early version of the drug and the FDA rubber stamps the approval. The drug manufacturer starts tweaking their product to make it more effective all while the FDA watches on. This drug becomes mainstream and is sold in every pharmacy and Walmart in the country. Once millions of households have this drug in their medicine cabinet the FDA suddenly decides, ”Aww hell naw”. Then the DEA starts raiding Grandma’s medicine cabinet and charging her with a felony. That would never happen right? Same sort of agency with the same oversight as the ATF. These pricks sat on their hands for over 2 yrs allowing us all to believe it was totally legal. It isn’t as if these things were being sold on the dark web. They are commonplace. Textbook tacit approval..."
