The state should be made an example of over that. The state has no right to deny a right to self defense. Especially in a well documented situation like that. I hope the judge and sheriff never get a good night's sleep again.

Christie was "supporting her case" when he was running for president, but we all know how that went.

I suspect they sleep fine. That's just one of a thousand similar stories here.

Only reason I even know it was because I knew her from being friends with her brother growing up. She was the stereotypical "buddy's older hot sister" we all fantasized about hooking up with in the 80's/90's.

Almost every single LEO I have discussed gun confiscation with have all said they will surrender their badge first. But we all know that is not the case everywhere.

Yup.

That's Mr Asshole to you
I have a very special 243 that my son will hopefully use to take his first deer in about 3 weeks. Keeping my eyes open for a matching one so we can each have one. Then get some leather slings made with our initials stamped into them.

I have my great-grandma's Winchester .243 and always will. Killed my first deer and my first buck with it. Can't beat a good .243

I feel like this thread should be locked or moved due to the current climate of things.
Nope. The more we hide guns, the worse off we'll be. If we make guns a daily topic, it will normalize them. If you're not exposed to firearms then the only perception or idea you'll have of them is what you see in movies or mainstream media.

I listened to a gun shop owner tell a customer the ammo shortage is because of the big companies running out of lead. I just laughed and shook my head.

Please go to this link and comment about how you feel that this new AR15 pistol brace legislation that the ATF is proposing is:

1. Very vague and sets no specific guidelines for how pistol braces are supposed to be managed.
2. Makes it harder for law abiding citizens to legally defend themselves.
3. Is unenforceable since there are millions of pistol braces in lawful circulation.
4. There isn’t an online or paper filing system that will allow the ATF to process millions of SBR applications in a timely manner.

Here is the link where you can read the Objective Factors for Classifying Weapons with “Stabilizing Braces” legislation and comment as well.

Objective Factors for Classifying Weapons with “Stabilizing Braces”

Here is a couple of good YouTube videos explaining everything as well:

Why you should comment:

Submitting a comment can actually make a difference. It mattered under the Obama administration when, in 2015, ATF gave up on banning M855 ammunition after receiving an overwhelming barrage of public comments against the proposed rule.

From The Washington Post:
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said Tuesday it was backing down from a proposed ban on manufacturing and selling one of the most popular bullets used in AR-15 semiautomatic rifles.
The agency pulled the plug early, with still a week to go before the end of a one-month informal comment period on the proposed rule change that would have targeted these armor-piercing bullets. The ATF noted it had received more than 80,000 comments, and “the vast majority of the comments received to date are critical of the framework, and included issues that deserve further study.”

Me either, if I'm shooting mine (after I've sighted them in) it's because I'm killing something lol
