The MP5 suppressed is a great platform. It is hard to say that any of the HK subgun or rifles are crap though.
The guy who owned the MP5 was saying the MP7 was fun and controllable as well but the 4.6x30 cartridge is junk. From what I've read a lot of special forces guys agree.

Too much penetration? Think they may have been talking about that round on last week's G&A show.

Not enough stopping power and too small of a bullet. Just zips right through the target without expanding. Also the ammo is hard to come by and only specific for that platform. With the MP5, you can run 9mm in both your sidearm and main weapon, so you only have to carry one type of ammo that you can interchange if need be.

Yep - same things they said. Think they were testing out a shorty rifle round to take that place of that round. I was in/out of dozing off so I don't quite remember it that well.

This is a really good video on submachine guns. Towards the end, he says that submachine guns are basically dead and people are going the way of a short rifle platform like the 10.5" .223 AR. More stopping power and with an adjustable gas block and buffer spring can shoot really soft.

EDIT: Forgot Video link.

I spent the better part of last night ordering parts & accessories for a paintball gun.

Think I need to put a hold to any new hobbies - I know my bank account would be happy. Between truck stuff showing up Friday finially and my airgun order from yesterday I spent waaaaaay too much money this summer. Tell you what though - Ill have a heck of a garage sale come fall/winter when I get all the old stuff cleaned up and posted online f/s.

I know my 300 BkOut with a suppressor and binary trigger is scary fast and amazingly accurate. After my 3rd magazine I said I wish we had those in Iraq - a good binary trigger makes full auto rifles look like a spray-n-pray waste of ammo. Rapid binary fire can be accurate while on the move and deadly in volume. I am not saying that we should get rid of crew served machine guns; but full auto rifles at the squad level are a waste of ammo and weight.

Haven't had a chance to shoot a binary trigger yet.

Just got in a Safariland 6390RDS retention holster. The main reason I got it for the RMR cover, flashlight tube and retention system. The last match I shot at, we did a lot of mud crawling and one of the guys got mud in RMR window which cost him a lot of time cleaning it out enough to shoot. I also removed the finger guard thing on the top (this pic is before I did that). I also ordered a ALS Nub mod extension so it's easier to hit the lever button.

Picked up a set of Magpul MBUS Pro's on sale the other day. Cheapest I've seen em so far. I've been wanting a set for years as backup irons since they are so thin and can actually sit underneath a scope.

Also ordered a SBA3 brace and got that in so I can run my new uppers while I wait for my SBR stamp to come in. It's pretty sweet! It's pretty stiff and doesn't have a lot of play in it unlike some I've seen.

My biggest stress of the day is over with...... getting out of my home state with my car packed to the gills w/ammo & firearms. No matter how I transport my firearms they break the exact letter of tarded NJ law because I have a hatchback and guns/ammo are supposed to be locked separate from each other....guns w/o mags in one space then ammo and mags in another. Amazing that I can put my ammo & mags in a locked 50 cal ammo can and also have my firearms with trigger locks on them in locked cases and still not "safe enough" for the gun grabbers. So glad our surrounding states don't treat legitimate owners like criminals.

Does anyone even have a 3D printer capable of making these? And why would I want to print a gun when I can just buy one? (3D printed guns aren't as accurate as machined weapons)

Its also ILLEGAL to make an "undetectable" weapon. I just don't get what all the hype is about?
Liberal media just pushing an agenda...I can go to the store and for $10 of material make a pipe shotgun that's untraceable...

So I am in the process of signing the little one up for 4H shooting club. It’s in Williamson county which is not Austin so hence the shooting club. I have to wait until the 15th to finalize it. But she will be shooting steel targets with her .22’s at first and then move on to sporting clayswhen she gets older. She seems excited.

You will need to get a better quality 22, than that pink one.

Bingo. Or I can setup the 10-22 for her. Trigger pull is 2.5lbs.
