That being said I did zero price shopping this time...Check out this website for ammo pricing. Save it for future use. GunBot 17hmr rimfire ammo

I was not aware of that. Ours plans do involve our MG friend. If you are going to use it in bulk get with the MG guy for the recipe and save some $$$. It sucks his gun range pit banned tannerite though.
Sounds like a good time to me. Bunch of party poopersYeah; got banned a while back. Some dipshit was out there trying to launch 55 gallon drums with increasingly large amounts of tannerite. Ended up with the Sheriff's office out there.
That guy is no longer allowed out there and tannerite has been banned as of last I heard.
So I am in the process of signing the little one up for 4H shooting club. It’s in Williamson county which is not Austin so hence the shooting club. I have to wait until the 15th to finalize it. But she will be shooting steel targets with her .22’s at first and then move on to sporting clayswhen she gets older. She seems excited.
He told he buys them on sale for the BSA Troop ~$800
Anschutz
~$350
Ruger Precision Rifle 22LR 15+1 Colapsible/Folding Stock
Guns and Ammo just did an episode on the Ruger - pretty neat little plinker.
The Anschutz is much better, also twice the cost...
I don't think I've ever seen them give more than $100. Might be better off listing it on gun brokerIll never shoot either in my lifetime I bet. Happy with my Marlin bolt action .22 and my Ruger 10-22. Next time we have a gun buy back in Camden I'm going to take in my Remington 597 semi .22lr and see how much tyey will give me. It's black, semi auto, and scares liberals so they will probably give me more $$ than what I paid - that things a total POS.
Once different government agencies start getting Involved you know you've had fun.If you are far enough from other people and not running a gun range under the radar - sure. At the point you are working with 20 lbs of tannerite-like material that is enough of a noise maker to start involving different government agencies. All around bad idea on someone else's property.
Well we are running into some issues. We want her in Williamson county but we live in Travis county (about a mile from the county line) and the lady that runs the Williamson county is a stickler for the rules so I can't just sign her up, need to get some approvals.
Anyhow, found out that the steel targets challenges they do require her to have at least a 5 round magazine. So her S&W MP15-22 will be what she shoots for now to see how she does. I do like that Ruger though.
