One day...........

Got the truck aligned........havnt seen these numbers in a while. All my alignment woes have been caused by bent spindles.

Castor- 2.7..........2.7
Camber-0.2..........0.3
Toe-0.05................0.05

Did you gusset? What brand?

No, I have another spare set, I seriously hope this shit is gone before these go.........just sent Tim an email asking when that axle will be out of his runner. He said fall time frame and I have the cash for it burning a fucking hole in my penny jar, he better hurry before I blow it on guns and ammo lol

Finished the Shackle flip....

Got drews kit. few loose pieces and the TG Creeper joint kit. First thing I noticed was that there would be no way to achieve the desired shackle angle with the outboarded peice being so far forward. I'll show you how I addressed this down below.

As a tip for removing the rivets, if the do not budge after 5 minutes of beating the fuck out of them then break out a drill and a good set of bits. drill the fuckers out starting small and working up to 1/2". I spent 2.5 hrs on the first side doing nothing but making a bunch of fucking noise. Next side I drilled 2 out of the 4 and it took 10 minutes.

Got everything welded up....

Had to trim the plate 2.5" (for bumper mounting bracket) and move the entire plate back about 2.5" from where Drew places it in order to achieve a tolerable shackle angle. 2.25" back would have been perfect.

I just drilled new holes in the frame and mounting bracket.

Gained about 1-2" of lift.

I cut the 6" shackles that Drew sent down to 4"......should have done 3" and may still swap them out to 3" shackles.

Angle is tolerable. It rides and flexes really well, much better than before with the bent, binding shackles. Love the feel of the truck.

Tires are still planted.

I gained a ton of down travel.......I would guess somewhere around 6". Much needed.

Nice! You have any issues with the ebrake cable binding up? I pulled mine right off the leaf mounts a few weeks ago lol. I could use another 2" on that cable I think :)

Very, very nice! :)

Gotcha, I guess I'll ditch the screw mount and just ziptie like the rest of most my truck lol

Can't wait till Kevin does mine. I will still need to figure out what I want to do with my shocks though....

I have to adjust mine in a little to compensate for the gained downtravel, and it will also give me a little more stability.

The setup I have works well, and is fairly easy to do. I will be helping Steve do his shocks here soon.

I also thought about doing the bed cage idea........I would have went that route and ran a 14-16" shock if I had a toooob bender.

I hate to say it but these springs are awesome lol.........I just used a punch to knock out the center metal sleeve between the bushings and the bolt on the AP springs, then ran the greasable bolt through.

Went out to URE today, truck did great and flexed really well! Now to just work on the front. Also saw a John Deer Gator roll on the 2nd ledge on Daniel.......I laughed my ass off then winched him up right. Should have videoed.
