Well I have to add one more thing to the "list". Passenger side wheel assembly has a little play to it. Not wheel bearing. Thinking UCA bushing. At least I have spares! Fingers crossed that is it.. or something easy.

I got the battery controller wired up tonight only to smoke the rear battery monitor because I was stupid. Had it directly wired minus a fuse and the wires touched.. split second!! Oops.. I think I smoked the monitor. No matter what I did it said the rear battery was at 0 volts.. which it is not. New monitor will be here Friday and it will have the fuse installed in it. :)

ok.. so I got the phone charger USB plug wired up and under the dash. Just insert you favorite charging cable and boom! No granted I will have my favorite running to the Ram mount phone holder. But it can be easily changed out. My list consists of
1: Grease trailer bearings with marine trailer grease and install new seals
2: Fix rear battery monitor.. should be less than an hour job.
3: Wire up winch to include fabrication of a solenoid mount and create all new wiring.
4: Check solar panel connection.. could be my imagination but I am not 100% sure its charging at this point. With a group 31 you don't know until . well you don't have juice.
5: Would be nice to have: Cab mount winch controller.. probably do-able
6: Would be nice to have: Lights! Everything exterior is ran to the SPOD..I just need to run wires and install a switch panel in the overhead sunglasses panel for it. Its not needed but it needs to get done. Chances are slim.
7: Pull trailer out and do a setup/take down drill. Let it air out.. install sheets and blankets. :)

have you considered a Trails Toys NSA panel for your lighting and winch controlling needs? @SMKYTXN

I have, but I don't want a remote.. I want a switch for lights. Plus when I am winching I want to be in the vehicle with a direct connection to the winch.. the 12 volt guy in-cab winch controller allows that and I have been very happy with it. That being said I plan to pick up a NSA for the rear battery to control lights and other goodies. namely due to it range. My current setup has a maybe 15' range.. NSA is much more.

From Long Pool the High Water Mark trail starts just south of St Joe.
We talked about Richland Creek but dont think that is in the plan.
Planning to camp along the trail as we head south. There is a spot near Dare Mine Rd on Indian creek we camped at last year that we really need to hit again.

I see. Didn't realize we were running north to south starting around St Joe. Some reason I thought we were starting the actual trail at Long Pool. I'm sure it's listed somewhere in these 50 pages of conversation. lol

Cant remember which route ya'll planned on following. I saw several roads on the google map route weren't on the current MVUM indicating they are closed. I'll be making my own route file for my reference based on the MVUM. I've printed off both the MVUM and the OHV maps I'll be bringing for reference. Getting a bit anxious for the trip, looking forward to it and glad I'm not leading...

I was going off what @tex and @balakay said for the route. One of them can lead. :)

I need to mess around with my mapping app. I was just going to wonder around the woods and find my way out after a few days.

Sounds good.

Yeah I remember parts of the trip but not where they were geographically or in which order they occurred.

I didn't figure out my BCN app until about halfway through the trip last year. Hoping to get some good mapping this year with waypoints and such.

Yes please get some good waypoints so I can run it when I get the chance! Are any of you going to be using APRS? Would be cool to be able to follow along as y'all progress

I learn as I go
Matt just reminded me about this trip. I've been a little out of sorts with a ton going on lately. Had our second baby, applied to grad school, got accepted, and are now in the process of listing and selling our house and prepping for a move. So I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to make it on this trip. Let me figure a couple things out and I'll decide for sure.
Best to all y'all though!
