Are you guys planning a different route than last year or sticking to the same general route? I might be keen for a Spring time run when I get back from 'Straya over a long weekend

Only 2 weekends between now and Arkansas!

Pulled out the camping stove and both burners work, so I'm good to go there. Got a couple of things done on the truck. Nothing major, just some standard maintenance over the weekend. Will be doing some more throughout the week.

So just to make sure I know the plan a little better, most people are driving up Thursday. We camp Thursday night and start the trails Friday morning.
Friday and Saturday - breakfast at camp, wheeling all day with a few stops for hikes and lunch, dinner at the next camp.
Is Sunday a wheel and travel home day? Just travel home? or wheel all day and camp that night? I'm currently planning to head home on Monday.

Not exactly on our trail, but there are a couple of public shooting ranges not far from where we will be.

Ozark-St. Francis National Forests - Other Activities:Target Shooting

Couple other random thoughts and questions:

Firewood:
I assume we'll have a camp fire each night
I know there is plenty of firewood throughout the forest AND that you aren't supposed to bring any with you because of foreign insects, etc.. Is anyone planning to bring wood? I have a TON of pine that I have from cutting down a tree and can bring with me if needed/wanted. I can't burn it in the house, so I can bring as much as wanted (if any).
I do plan to bring a chainsaw, so cutting up dead wood or trees that get in our way should not be a problem. Hopefully someone else is bringing a chainsaw as well. I'll have a file for sharpening if needed.
I also have a splitting axe that I can bring so that we can chop the wood into better pieces for a fire. Y'all want me to bring it?

Food:
Eggs, bacon, sausage, lunch meat, condiments, bread, jerky. I'll probably bring more, but that's my starting list. Anyone else given thought to this? Not planning any gourmet meals, but not wanting to starve either.

Beverage:
Between bottle of whiskey and beer. Leaning toward whiskey. If beer, how much? At least a gallon of water per day, and probably some sodas.

Crapper:
Someone said to bring a shovel?

Hygiene:
I don't have one of those fancy camp shower things. Hopefully someone can share or we camp by a creek at least one night.

Other various items:
Lighter and matches
Knife or two
Flashlights and lantern
Coolers (and ice)
Fold out table
Camp chair
Tent and sleeping bag
Fuel (5 gal for truck, 32oz. truefuel can for chainsaw)

Am I missing anything?

You look to be pretty well set with that list. I know of at least three other chainsaws coming so we should be set in the event of a down tree or emergency firewood. Showers - creek will be used as needed if I cannot get my shower setup done sooner. I planned to head back Monday morning at the latest.

I have a very basic First Aid Kit that stays int he truck. I also recently bought a portable 12v tire inflator. Tire plugs stay in there year round as well as jumper cables.

Recovery gear is where I am most lacking. I'm borrowing a hi-lift from a colleague and hoping to upgrade my tow strap (that has been abused, broken and tied back together) to a decent 30k lbs rated recovery strap.

Oh, and for anyone passing through DFW, I'm planning to leave North Fort Worth around 12-1pm. I would prefer to caravan up there with someone since I haven't been to this campsite before.

I'll be making every effort to buy local firewood.
