My house is the only one on the court thats dark 24/7/365. Only time I have my exterior lights on is when someone is stopping buy or waiting for the pizza guy. Also why my electric bill is usually a quarter of what the houses around me spend monthly with their landscape and flood lights that are always on blinding everyone in the neighborhood. If it were up to me the first pollution I'd go after is light pollution ~ Man it pisses me off.

My mom stopped by yesterday and told me she was bringing a surprise. Turned out to be a SUV full of bushs and trees plants she propagated. This is after I told her last week I wanted none of them and needed no additional work and that my table was already full and I had plans/schedule to stick to.

So I spent the the day planting 60% of them with a smile on my face, thanking her, and now need to figure out where to put the rest today lol

I love thats she's always giving.... not so much that she ignores anything I say and does what she wants anyway. She's earned that right at this point in life so I just suck it up and am thankful she started bringing plants over instead of furniture like she used to

(wasn't going to plant this bed until the fence was replaced and rocks sifted, but it is what it is)

Sounds like my mom and mother in law too, they are both always doing that same type of stuff lol

Installed two new 4' LED lights in my MIL's kitchen today. Her kitchen is crazy bright now but she loves it because she can read her bible better and see when she cooks now.

These new LED lights replaced two cheap LED lights that both blew up. I made her get these lights from a reputable company this time so they should actually last (hopefully) lol

New blades on both ZTRs, mowed the main yard and stocked up on super gas, added fuel stabilize, cause that winter blend fuel sucks for small motors.

no, but there are some QT fuel stations up in SA that have ethanol free, I just don’t travel into the city much anymore.

Finally working out front planting where I have been avoiding any sort of upgrades or plants for over 15 years lol

Operation "fence-line dress up" kicked off today and I got six transplants in the ground. Got one more grass to transplant tomorrow all the way to the right then the run is done.

circles are forsythia.....just allot smaller than the larger one in the middle of the run. not a huge fan of the set up or plant species but free is free and I'm on a budget. if I had unlimited time and money it would be a full hedgerow. The forsythia should fill in pretty well though - they grow to be huge and all the plants are spaced at 82" apart on center so in 5-10 years they will be touching lol

also kept the bed 36" from my fence so they can fill in and I can fit my lawnmower down the fence line.

don't mind the dirt - thats where my front steps & a useless slab used to be. That will get planted out as well but not till winter-spring when the siding/windows/gutters are replaced on the front of the house.

Ran a CAT6 data line in my attic from the living room to the garage last night to extend my wifi network. I wasn't getting a strong signal in my garage and out in my backyard, so I put in the CAT6 line and used my old 2007 Airport Extreme to extend my 2018 Airport Extreme.

I'm about to run some Cat6 at my house as well.

and shit like this is why I want to build my own cabin. House is from 1964 so even back then pride sucked in track home builds

wide open joints....:argue:

crack a corner of a block off....who cares....earthen filled POS steps that will crack apart eventually will cover it so no one knows.

took me a half hr to get all the dirt out and fit the chip back in - bozo mason actually concreted the cracked corner in. luckily for me the roots growing for up to 60 years made it easier.

Apparently this is where my ants are also getting in so thats good. As I was cleaning out the joints I found them.

ran out of sika non shrink flexible mortar so thats it for fixing joints today. Stuff is expensive and goes bad so I didn't buy much and underestimated. after I fix all the cracks/joints/termite treatment holes I'm going to dig down another foot then skim-coat it all before paint

Cleaned out the gutters all the way around the house, used the shop vac, less mess of leaves and all the asphalt rocks from going into the flower beds.

I guess this would be an Office improvement instead of a home improvement. I upgraded our breakroom TV from an old 40" Tube tv to a 42" LG tv that came out of a space that we demoed (we replaced this LG with a 75" tv so that department is getting an upgrade).

Well I demoed another space and got a newer 48" Sony tv that has internet. So I took out the LG and ran an Ethernet line to newer Sony TV. So we went from 1980 > 2008 > 2012 in terms of TV's lol

Built a small stand to hold my printer so I can get it off my desk and get some space back. Nothing big but it was nice to weld something up again that wasn't work related.
