Looks good, what are those two large 6x6s? in the ground for?

hammock posts for that "V" tree. I'm working on a design in my head to add some kind of birdhouse to the top but that will be a rainy day project. Going to try and get trail cams, motion lights, and bird house all in one indiscreet package

Got 5 truck beds of limbs hauled out of the backyard to my parents place and put in their bonfire pile. Now I just need to get the reat of these smaller pieces burned in our fire pit. Gonnna start working on that once the wind dies down. Gotta get the shed torn down this week as well and get it haules off as well as the old section of deck and start clearing out the area for the new shed.

Spent this morning playing w/trees, but I hired out help cause I ain't getting on a lift w/a chainsaw.

cleared out the back property line where the neighbors tree was blocking light to my shed and creating moss/mold. Also created a tree rat super highway so they could eat nutz on my shed roof, but not anymore.

side yard tree that dented my Subaru 5 years ago....we were going to cut them to the branch's trunk/branch line a few inches from the main tree so they could heal good, but that would of been us cutting over my property line and once my buddy got into the lift and up there he said the tree was doing real bad so we just cut to the property line. Last thing I need is some BS that we killed the tree since it's already in need of major help. My buddy offered my neighbor a discount last week since the lift and guys would be here but as usual he has no $$ for any sort of preventative maintenance. Guess he would rather have a tree go through his house one day

left side cut back all the neighbors overhanging branches that would eventually take down my fence
upload_2020-9-29_13-0-40.png

last but not least my dead "tree" thats really a fast growing weed that died after 5+/- years of quick growth

only broke one fence picket dropping branches and everyone got done w/o injury so pretty great day even with rain hampering us

upload_2020-9-29_13-5-1.png

calling the township to see if they will send out a chipper and if not my buddy will come back with his trailer and grab it all. Pretty sure they will tell me to go pound sand but it doesn't hurt to check first. If you take them to the municipal ctr they will take the load for free so we shall see.... it's like a 10' tall pile thats 20 yards long lol

A "V" tree... a vagina tree? They grow on trees as well? Fuck I could have saved a LOT of money had I known that! lol

I wish.... I had to work and spend $$ to get them in shape and thin them up..... so pretty similar in that aspect lol

WOOT! Township just called back and they are sending out a chipper crew to get all my branches before the end of the week. Actually feels kinda nice to get something back from the 96k I've paid in property taxes here o_O

How much are your property taxes per year?

Mine are 2.99%

that was quick math @ 16 years x 6k. Not sure how much this years will be yet but last years was just under 7k on a 113k gubment assessment.

guessing less than they are here in Texas but we dont have state income tax.

State income tax was 5,500 for me last year... Fed took over 20... No idea what happened to the tea party...:(

Pretty cool the change a tree trimming can cause. Not like I would know in real life but I feel like a blind guy who someone moved the furniture around on when I am in my backyard. Don't ever remember getting so much early am sunlight. Berry patch should be very happy...getting sunshine at sunrise and before it would take 2hrs to clear the old oak shade.

yesterday I finished wiring up my under cabinet lights. All supplies were obtained from Inspired LED | LED Lighting Specialists for Home and Commercial everything seemed very good quality and the lights came with small metal brackets to mount under the cabinet. went with the frosted lens to try and cut down on any reflections on the counter.

Added a dimmer to existing box and snaked some wire up to the top kitchen cabinet

Excuse the mess, still need to finish cleaning/organizing everything. Finally put the top on the workbench I built like 6 months ago and moved it in place. Just nees to pick up another piece of MDF for the bottom and then get so.ething to cover the top with. Debating hardboard or just getting some 1/8" plate.

I have the same backsplash at my place... I mean the same. The accent piece is like a tile lower.

great minds think alike, that’s awesome! I’ve been meaning to change the color of my cabinets to something a little darker. They were this color when I moved in, that’s on the list for next year maybe.

cleaned up the shop a little bit in preps to finally install my sink back here. Relocated my press to the other side and going to add a dedicated air line with regulator since the jack requires 120 psi and I run the rest of the shop air around 90 psi

reorganized some stuff onto shelves and moved my mechanics cart against the wall to free up some floor space in front of the 4runner in hopes that motivates me to work on it lol

Sink will go next to the heating system since I have a supply line ran here, and I’ll run the drain out the back into a future mini septic yet to be designed. Opted on a 4 gallon Bosch electric water heater. Runs off standard 120VAC line and will be perfect for short uses back here.

Picked up a dozen bales of hay for some fall decorating from a fellow down the road. $2 per bale, not too bad!

Shop looks great. Sad to see that rear bumper rusting away on that Taco. Go flapdisk that thing and put some Rustoleum on it.

thanks, I’m liking how’s its coming along. Should be the perfect setup for once winter comes to knock out some projects. Having the sink was the last hurdle, as it can also function to piss in so I don’t have to go outside when it’s cold lol. I may box that corner off in the future and add a urinal, we’ll see how it goes.

I did paint part of the frame earlier with some left over rattle can I had, I believe the owner might be coming by this weekend. Having a little taco meet n greet at my place Saturday. Maybe he’ll take it home and fix it up hah, I’m getting tired of seeing it in the driveway. Which reminds me @Oswego you making it down Saturday? I’m picking up a fresh keg so they’ll be no shortage of beer.

Well we have water. Just have to add a few more pex supports, some clamps for the power cord, and dig a pit outback for the waste water. I need to also get a support for the spray wand as I bought this faucet used and it was missing it. Hopefully get some FRP added maybe next weekend.

If that guy doesn't pick up that truck this weekend and you eventually get ownership of it...I'll take the rear bumper and trasharoo :)

BS, I already know someone who is going to make the whole truck disappear, he doesn’t want parts left, all or nothing.
