Chad (PD3) flew in for another weekend in Matagorda. Wasn't a record breaking weekend with the weather and all, but we caught some decent fish.

I remember duck hunting on the Gulf and losing more than a few ducks to gators. Then talking to kayakers that lost stringers to sharks that would take them. Something about actually being IN the water makes me think that is not the spot in the food chain I want to assume.

But I hear that bacteria are really the bad thing this time around. Not the ones that crawl up your pee pee.. but the ones in the fish. Either way.. sounds bad. But I'm far from a fisherman, I just throw a hook in the water with bait on it and hope that I don't have to do work while I'm drinking. I'll stop by Whole Foods for the catch of the day.
I've lost a stringer to a shark before in West Matagorda Bay. Shit happens

Since I was at my friend's ranch last weekend the 35 acre lake was still about a foot low. Pulled up to the gate and water was rushing over the county road. This is over from his spillway. Rain gauge said 4 inches fell last week and another 3/4" fell Saturday morning.

I got my first suppressor kills this week: 2 Armadillos that were tearing up the lawn at a friend's lake house. Used some 60gr Aguilla Subsonic Sniper rnds and it TORE THEM UP!

Blasted 3 more Audad last night! Stalked up to the herd around 9:00pm, lined up on one that was quartering toward and shot him through the heart. The bullet passed all the way through and winged the another one behind him. Then I shot the 3rd as they ran off through the creek bed. I only found the body of the first one, which was about 20 yds from where I shot him. But nonetheless, it was a great night of carnage!
