No. Thats why I have my little league bat at my front door. Only way to get a concealed carry permit by law (for someone who doesn't have political connections) is to have someone attempt to murder you and fail, then take them to court and have it prosecuted/them convicted, next they must be released, and finally after their release you must establish the threat exists again. They make it sound easier, but thats what really needs to happen to get one. So yea - it's impossible unless your a LEO. Doesn't matter if you carry 2 million in cash for your job or a battered wife with a restraining order on your hubby. No guns for us. One of the women I grew up with (sister of a good friend) did everything she could to get a permit because she knew the LEO's couldn't protect her from her abusive ex she had a restraining order out on. Now she is dead. Stabbed to death in her own front yard within 2 miles of my house and a 1/2 mile from the police station. Fucking politicians need to get their act together. I do have a license to transport long arms and shotguns, but they must be locked in a case and the ammo must be separated and also in a locked case....oh and you must be on your way to a gun range your a member of or a gunsmith you have an appointment with or be going hunting and have the permit. At no time should you go anywhere but directly to your intended location. Even if you get pulled over in a parking lot of a 7-11 on your way to the range you have then strayed course from where you should be and could technically be screwed with. I feel like a total criminal any time I drive with my guns even if everytime I do, I know I'm within the law.
