Actually our temp can get up there. This summer was a weird one but others we've had 90s. Sometimes, in the winter here, we'll go from -20C to +20. It's called a "Chinook" or as Leo Dicaprio calls them "Global warming".

July and August is typically when we see those temperatures that will, apparently, "melt my loonie ass" (for the record my fat ass is still here). However, if you look at our averages it doesn't really represent that. Why? Because it sometimes snows too. Take a string of dsys in August at 40C average those with a string of near 0C temps...
