Well a couple of Russian warships are headed into the same waters, USSR also in the plans of sending more advanced air defense systems to Syria, before we nuke, I think it would be important to pull the almost 1000 America military members out of Syria first

One well placed round could also possibly take care of the situation, problem is who runs their country next? Always a catch 22 over there. Take out a dictator who has a strangle hold then all the crazies take over in his place.

Ive got a war zone (Camden) 10 miles from my house that could use some attention.... Just saying. I'm not a nationalist, but I do hold some similar beliefs when it comes to focusing on taking care of your issues before you start telling others how to live. Like a person in a glass house who likes to throws stones.....

Agreed; we have plenty of war zones in the US that could use cleaning out. That would require pissing off a few special interest groups though.

Gotta shift the military industrial complex's focus somewhere.... might as well be the blighted inner cities and rural meth slums. Maybe shift from killing to helping? I know we need to spend that money somewhere......

No idea how to "help" them, but somethings better than nothing. Maybe we start keeping an eye on our elected officials? In our state we have over 17 mayors in jail for corruption. Pretty sure if we held a higher standard for our officials we could "find" a great deal of time and money that's being wasted and could go to the greater good.

The biggest issue with that is using the military as an occupation force in the US. That would require martial law and a dangerous slippery slope. Personally I would have no problems with using state guard units to patrol high crime neighborhoods. Stop-and-search would need a legal loop hole for the guard to search people in high crime areas for drugs/ illegal weapons/ legal status. A few couple years of this kind of work and the inner cities would be in a lot better shape IMO.

The pictures of the aid workers helping the gas victims do not look right. We were always trained to have on gas masks, gloves, and some form of protection between us and the victims.
But you know how to use a condom, they may not! ;)

I agree.. come home.. let them fight to the death over whatever it is they are fighting over.
Or, what would really happen: We'd send over CIA and get them to be a self-cleaning oven the best we can.

And the douche bags like Rham that is more interested in power than really solving that problem.

Simply put, a Japanese company wants to build a 50' electrified wall, masquerading as a high-speed rail project, right through the heart of East Texas, and they don't want you to have a say in it. Worse, they want to exercise eminent domain to confiscate the property!

Sound familiar?

Texans don't want to re-live the infamous Trans-Texas Corridor. It is imperative that our lawmakers protect both our property rights and our tax dollars. We don't want to be stuck with an outrageous bill for another failed project that would only benefit a handful of profiteers.

If Texans don't act right away countless families will be put on the street, and your wallet will be looted for the profit of a foreign government.

Behind closed doors at the Texas Capitol, a team of expensive lobbyists are selling your lawmakers a Texas-sized boondoggle known as the "Texas Bullet Train."

This disastrous proposal lets a Japanese company use eminent domain to cut right through homes and property on its way to fiscal disaster and never-ending taxpayer subsidies.

Just how bad is it? A leading policy research center has predicted that the project will fail so spectacularly...

That's bad news for Texas and Texans!

If the project proceeds, the high-speed rail profiteers will be able to convince legislators that it is "too big to fail". We know exactly what will happen: government bailouts with YOUR money.

Make no mistake, backers of this high-speed rail project are extremely well-funded for the promotion phase of this boondoggle. They have openly denied that they want taxpayer subsidies, while stating unequivocally they intend to "aggressively seek federal loans". Does anyone actually believe that a federal loan isn't taxpayer money? As it stands right now, they know if we don't push back hard with our lawmakers, they will be in the clear in just a few weeks.

Make your voice heard before it's too late! Contact your legislators today, and consider a contribution to help us fight the lobbyists and shady businesses that are trying to keep this quiet!

Sincerely,

Kyle Workman

Eminent domain is used all too often. About a decade ago they tried stealing my mothers marina from her. They were going to pay her "fair market value" lol. Everyone on her block bbanded together and fought the next 6 years until the investor for the project backed out. Hopefully this week Ill be selling her marina for her at about 10X what the gubment was going to pay her. Sounds "fair" alright :grinning-smiley-048:

Yep - expect to pay a bit more to fly there, rent a car there, or get a hotel there...

That's how Philly sticks you...

Perfect timing.... We just got VOIP phones at work and one of the guys keeps telling me he hears the conversation that are had in my office when he is in our VP's office. He's said it to me twice now. I know our IT guy so I asked him and he had know knowledge of it. Thats said it's illegal to do so in NJ and no one in upper management would get IT involved because he's not in the family like the 8 siblings who run the company. My question is - how hard would it be to listen in on people with VOIP phones? I would think it's easy peasy.
