Simply put, a Japanese company wants to build a 50' electrified wall, masquerading as a high-speed rail project, right through the heart of East Texas, and they don't want you to have a say in it. Worse, they want to exercise eminent domain to confiscate the property!
Sound familiar?
Texans don't want to re-live the infamous Trans-Texas Corridor. It is imperative that our lawmakers protect both our property rights and our tax dollars. We don't want to be stuck with an outrageous bill for another failed project that would only benefit a handful of profiteers.
If Texans don't
act right away countless families will be put on the street, and your wallet will be looted for the profit of a foreign government.
Behind closed doors at the Texas Capitol, a team of expensive lobbyists are selling your lawmakers a Texas-sized boondoggle known as the "Texas Bullet Train."
This disastrous proposal lets a Japanese company use eminent domain to cut right through homes and property on its way to fiscal disaster and never-ending taxpayer subsidies.
Just how bad is it? A leading policy research center has predicted that the
project will fail so spectacularly...
That's bad news for Texas and Texans!
If the project proceeds, the high-speed rail profiteers will be able to convince legislators that it is "too big to fail". We know exactly what will happen:
government bailouts with YOUR money.
Make no mistake, backers of this high-speed rail project are extremely well-funded for the promotion phase of this boondoggle. They have openly denied that they want taxpayer subsidies, while stating unequivocally they intend to "aggressively seek federal loans". Does anyone actually believe that a federal loan isn't taxpayer money? As it stands right now, they know if we don't push back hard with our lawmakers, they will be in the clear in just a few weeks.
Make your voice heard before it's too late!
Contact your legislators today, and
consider a contribution to help us fight the lobbyists and shady businesses that are trying to keep this quiet!
Sincerely,
Kyle Workman
