How about Los Angeles county - I may live in a hell hole but pale in comparison but they are eroding what I liked about this place too. Their hair is on fire about this death rate - know that their population is 10,000,000 people.

Meanwhile their prop 47 and 57 have made it illegal to arrest for any drugs (other than large quantities - so they can grab druggies votes too), here is a death rate per 100,000 people so multiply those numbers by 10. It is horrific when money is involved. They put up with the drugs in exchange for votes and for the HUGE money that they filter to their supporters through things like needle programs, social programs etc. I am just so glad that I depend upon the gubmint as little as possible. Money and Power are at the root of all of this bullshit. Can't wait to see the numbers for 2020 and 2021. /rant

On a side note, I meet my heart doc today to keep me from being a coronary heart disease stat. I have been doing 23 hour fasts for the last 4 days and hope to do it for another 10 days in hopes of getting my wt down and my bp down.

Supposedly Google and Facebook have made it mandatory that employees get the vaccine. I'm not a fan of that at all.

The vaccine apparently does not stop the Delta variant. My step dad has Covid and was fully vaccinated.

I am certain that there is a LOT of misinformation and made up BS about the vaccine. That said, the following is my understanding:
* They rushed the vaccine with limited clinical trials.
* They stopped testing on animals because it was killing too many animals.
* There has been an increase in stillborn babies in women who have had the vaccine.
* The vaccine is ineffective (see above comment about delta variant)
* Most people will recover from COVID in 2 weeks time with no medical intervention

How on earth can someone say that the vaccine is for the greater good?

That wouldn't entirely surprise me. What does surprise me is the amount of misleading, fear inducing "news" and information available about the virus. Almost like someone, or something, wants control.

The sad thing is, the people with the fight to resist it are seeming to be getting worn down and giving in.
