I still can't make free hand cuts worth a damn, straight edges and templates are the only way I can make acceptable cuts.

What Randy said. Use a straight edge. Ian makes it look easy.... it's not.
I plan to use the guide for a while. A few videos I found had some good tips; so we will see what happens after I cut through a bunch of steel.

Fucking shit... haven't had that happen in a while. 
Little tiny crink in the wire caused it to bind up in the feed. Fixed and working now.
