I also have a Kentool out there. Its bigger and has reversible jaws (opens up to 11") but its not as strong. I want to say 55-60,000 PSI.

I need a new vise. Anyone recommend a good one? Ive been looking for an older Wilton bullet but damn people are proud of them. I like to beat on mine, so it needs to be stout. My last Lowes/HD cheapo didnt make it a couple years.
Ridgid F-Series. I have the 6" one and its awesome. 75,000 PSI casting... not the 20,000 psi shit from Home Depot. Not cheap but your kids will inherit it.

Thank you. I've been looking for one as well and have come to the same conclusion. People want way too much for the older ones that are already beat to hell.

I'll take a look at these. My stepdad and I went through 4 vises in the past decade. He'd break one, then I'd break one, then he'd break one, etc... it was pretty funny at the time lol

Got tired of breaking clips by just yanking on a door panel or using a screwdriver. Figured these would come in handy.

That is the worst plastic fork set I have ever seen. How are you supposed to eat off of those?

They are Moroccan. You look at them and still eat with your fingers. :)

I got the same kit. Plan on using it when I install my new double-din...

Found an old Wilton. Its 4.5" jaws and has had a little welding done to it to keep the jaws on. The bolts are all gone because im guessing they stripped out or something. Paid $100 for it.

I get around to rebuilding it one day, but as it sits, it still does its job and the action is actually pretty smooth. Need to grease it a little but thats it.

I bought it because the wifes car needs a new cabin air filter and I need to pop a few panels. Not using a screwdriver on it. :D

Amazing what they are doing to the new cars to make easy maintenance harder on the owners of them. My brother was telling me he had to remove his front clip to change a light bulb out on his Chrysler.

How about the 8 hr flat rate to change a set of plugs in a SC'd 4.0? ;) TRD may have done that to support Dealer Groups too! lol

I agree. Still think it's shitty. Reverse engineering things to make them difficult must make a few engineers go crazy. I know I would go nutz if someone asked me to complicate the work I do from 9-5 when Ive spent my entire life trying to make things better and easier.

The Larry... flashlight.
The Larry Flashlight

So I have several of these.. they are great. Anyhow, last time I used a couple of them was about 10 days ago when I swapped out my alternator. Anyhow, I've driven to work and back (30 miles round trip +-) at speeds up to 80 and in torrential downpours. There are some RR tracks that I normally hit a pretty good clip. Anyhow, today I see my Larry still magnetically hanging on to my lower portion of my IFS skid! Damn!

Impressive magnet; but how is the new alternator putting out? Is it hitting the numbers for you?

Oh fuck its great. I haven't hooked up my scangauge to see what the voltage is.. but I can tell you this. Before my ARB fridge sits at 27 degrees. If I drive the truck for 20 minutes the fridge is at 25 degrees! So yeah, more voltage for sure.

Dymo Labeler showed up today. Very nice case, thing is definitely heavy duty. So far my only concern is the screen is hard for old eyes to read. I need to use my glasses. Also, seems the Dark Side has been draw to this new device, not sure what kind of power lies within it. It may be evil.

Had a couple Amazon gift cards to use so I bought something I normally don't buy.. a DeWalt tool. This is only the 2nd DeWalt tool I've purchased. But it seems nice and for the money its perfect, the Milwaukee version would have been $75 more for similar with the attachments. I like the digital display. I also used the label maker to make some labels for each side of the case so that when its in storage I can tell WTF it is. :)

Rewire all of the Taco's accessories. I've had the wire/terminals/etc to do it for a while, I figure this will make it look just a little more professional. I still need to buy a NSA from Trail Toys. But for the most part I have all the new "parts" I plan to use.
