Ordered another of those big ass corner welding clamps. I think 2 should be good for now.

Have a link? My in-law's bought me a lite weight one for Christmas but I thought about getting a stout one for heavier materials also.

Shit.. I just realized I ordered the wrong size! The one I have is the AC-100, I ordered an AC-60. Shit.. sent them a cancellation request.

So I was reading a thread about how often to drain a shop compressor. Seems that most professionals drain it daily! Ugh oh... Its been at least a year.. probably 2. So I came out and drained it. Damn, I bet it had almost 2 gallons of water in it! So I think its time for an automatic drain setup. Like this.

The downside to those auto drain setups from what I see is that they are set to be turned on and the max timeframe you can select is 45 minutes. So basically every 45 minutes you would hear a small blast of air. I imagine that would get annoying so I am thinking a separate timer set to turn on once a day for about an hour. Maybe around noon. Well I didn't.. 60 gallons of air and 2 gallons of water. I wonder how my water separator is doing.. thing barely spits anything out. Once I might have got 1/8' cup of water out of it. I was thinking the dry air was preventing any buildup. Boy I was wrong.

I am guessing its because my tank is vertical and the water collects in the bottom. My water separator is right off the tank at the top.

In my brother's shops, they drained daily AND had water separaters. 85% humidity is a bitch on all things metal.

We always drained ours when we turned it off in the shop at my first job. I thought it was a good habit to get into so I started doing it to my 2 gallon home model after each use. Well after 10 years it's now fried. My POS neighbor asked to borrow it and he's too stupied to turn it off after it NOT blowing up a tire after 30 minutes. I always leave the drain valve open. He ran it until it seized.

GearWrench 81919 non-ratcheting wrench set. 44 piece SAE and metric. I have most of the metric set but its nice to have two. Now to find a place to store them.. I've sorta run out of space.

Existing set.. it has two less wrenches than the new metric set.

Time to get some wiring done! I think I am going to try and weld up a little cart for this to roll around on. I don't know where to keep the thing.
