What have you done to someone else's ride lately?

My kiddo wanted to work on her car more than she wanted to ride it last night. She actually saw that her hubcap was coming off and stopped riding the car to come get me to help her fix it. By the time she was done "fixing" all of the "issues" with her car, her face was covered in black smudges like a real mechanic...or her dad. lol

Commercial push mower maintenance. Nice to have a drain plug that you can see, but screw the engineer who decided it would be good to put that a paper width above the deck, with a bar to the oil filter and an exoskeleton in the way.

Found a hose that replaces the drain plug and was also listed as an accessory in the manual. 1000% recommend adding the hose for cleaner oil changes. Even putting cardboard down, I still managed to make a mess.

New to me: the manual calls for soaking the foam pre-filter air filter in engine oil. I've heard of using a spray oil for air filters like K&n, but never (clean) engine oil.

If you consider this a “ride”, removed 3 leaking cylinders from the JD210. Two of the pins were seized like a mother fucker. Debating whether to buy the seal kit and rebuild myself or just drop them off and get back refurbished. They’ll need some cleaning at a minimum.

Put on some TW2's with the silver alloy hubs and some old school Tioga Comp III's. Ordered a new seat for it that isn't such a pale yellow color.

New seat and grips installed. Had to cut down the bars a bit and I was unable to save both old grips. One got flipped inside out and it will not flip around! Also ordered new decals for the frame and fork, ones that are more old school yellow and not the pale yellow. Oh and the fork decal reads "Landing Gear" which is more appropriate.

Had a few local Yota members over last weekend. Did a cab mount chop on a 2nd gen and a 3rd gen, and a suspension install on another 2nd gen. I learned that the 3rd gen cab mounts have an extra reinforcement by the outer edge of the mount, I cut through it but it cost me an extra cutoff wheel lol

Wifes XC90 threw a "Start/Stop Service Required" warning light. As I expected the first thing to check is the aux battery (small 10Ah battery to help with the engine shutting off at lights and restarting). Anyhow, I tried to charge it.. says its charged. Battery tester says its "good".. but light is still on. So.. ordered a new battery (AGM).. cheaper than a trip to the dealer for them to sell us a new battery for $200 plus a $200 install.. not to mention when can they get us in. So anyhow, I'll install the new battery tomorrow and hope for the best.

It's a 2019. I totally think the heat and the amount of her start and stop driving in town killed it.

I always turn that stuff off on my rental cars.
My old shop f150 had it and I put in a module do keep it off without having to manually do it each time. Luckily the f250 didn't come with that bs

Can’t imagine that being very efficient if having to have a separate battery and system for it, seems it will be simpler to disable. Does it use the same starter as the normal engine start function or have a smaller one?

My dads injectors are out in his Dodge. They’ve been showing signs of going bad and my 8 hour round trip last weekend to fill feeders finished them off. So new injectors and feed tubes have been ordered and we’ll be tackling that project whenever they get here.

It is a very small battery, 10 Ah, 170 CCA. You are hard pressed to beat it when the engine is off at a light and you stomp on he pedal. Basically its a capacitor to get it going. But in todays heat and traffic.. well batteries die.
