What have you done to your ride lately?

Dare I say that the 4x4 in my Tundra is fixed? I put it back together and drove it to a shop in Fort Worth because I had finally thrown in the towel on it. Monday morning the shop called me to tell me that it was working normally and asked me to come over to talk with them about it. Yesterday, I drove out there and had a conversation and they played with it some more and got it to work every time. Today, I go out there to pick it up and it’s all working fine. We suspect that the last time I put it all back together and then drove it for an hour it was able to reset the computers and now it’s good to go. I drove it out there for nothing, but at least it’s working now so that’s cool.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention that I got hit by a tow truck on i30 on the way home from picking up my now-working truck. Greeeeeat. This is the same side I just had repaired maybe 2 months ago because my cousin drove it into a fence.

Tried to flex the Tacoma to check for tire rub. Need a bigger tractor, lol. This is as high as it would lift it. I think I’m going to need to center up the rear axle in the wheel wells though. I anticipate some rubbing on my trip…

I would be surprised if you rub more than just the dirt off the mud flap. I am running 285s with a 2.5" lift and they just barely touch.

With that size machine and that far out from the bucket pivot pin it won’t work as you see. Take those forks off and just use the bucket to lift it or get a set of Pin on pallet forks.

Oh I agree it's horseshit, but I bet it made enough difference to fuck up the electronics. They don't expect you to use that truck like a truck and want you to keep rubber bands on it for tread.

they called me earlier today. Said “yeah we got it all aligned and the steering wheel pointing the right way and it throwing a code. Steering sensor. $3200 PART! She said she was contacting Ford and explaining the truck only had 20k miles on it and was well taken care of. She then left me a message that said they were covering all but $670. So yeah. I’m happy. Not happy it happened but at least it’s not over $4000
