What have you done to your ride lately?

Been chasing a code for a malfunctioning MAF sensor. Changed the sensor, same result. I suppose it could be the Spectre Maf adapter tube with the interchangeable inserts to change the ID. I guess the wriing is next up. anyone have a link to a2rz/3rz Maf 5 wire plug pinout with wire color codes?

There used to be a thread on TTORA that had a bunch of FSM's for a variety of older Yotas. I have not been on there in forever but it might be a starting point for a FSM with wiring diagram.

I think a few of them were taken down after an official letter from Toyota about copyright protected documents. At least that was what I read.

Except on the Lexy it does, and will trigger a warning light on the dash as well. I'm glad that actuator was covered under warranty.

There are a bunch of aftermarket terminals with additional terminal lugs for this application, @Silverback runs a ton of stuff off his battery, he can probably recommend a product better than me.

yeah I can imagine the Lexus would, they usually have fancier control systems and computers compared to yota.

New battery terminals and new tires. Already had to ditch the mud flaps, minimal rubbing on plastic at the front driver wheel well, and I think I may need to shim the rear axle to center the tire in the fender. This was an expensive morning

Is the Ford at the dealership?

Yep. Adaptive Steering. They said its because I put new tires on it... they are giving it an alignment and recalibrating the sensor. I am calling bullshit but whatever.

They said its because the tires are taller.... they are 1/2" in diameter taller... fuck a new set of tires could wear down close to 1/2" over its lifetime.

Oh I agree it's horseshit, but I bet it made enough difference to fuck up the electronics. They don't expect you to use that truck like a truck and want you to keep rubber bands on it for tread.

Dare I say that the 4x4 in my Tundra is fixed? I put it back together and drove it to a shop in Fort Worth because I had finally thrown in the towel on it. Monday morning the shop called me to tell me that it was working normally and asked me to come over to talk with them about it. Yesterday, I drove out there and had a conversation and they played with it some more and got it to work every time. Today, I go out there to pick it up and it’s all working fine. We suspect that the last time I put it all back together and then drove it for an hour it was able to reset the computers and now it’s good to go. I drove it out there for nothing, but at least it’s working now so that’s cool.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention that I got hit by a tow truck on i30 on the way home from picking up my now-working truck. Greeeeeat. This is the same side I just had repaired maybe 2 months ago because my cousin drove it into a fence.
