What have you done to your ride lately?

Took the wife’s ride on a 700 mile road trip back from Florida through 5 states. Have anout 4 billion love bugs on the front of it from Louisiana. Can’t imagine them at night. Washed the window 3 times in about 150 miles. Still shit.

Got tired of looking at the parts in the shelf so I finally finished the EGR delete on the Ram. What a pain in the ass.

Don't throw away your old EGR parts. From what I've been told, you need them if you decide to trade the truck in if you don't do a private sale.

I have it all boxed up just in case along with my Cat and DEF pieces. the EGR cooler was the biggest pain.

That's why I went with the block off plate and not the full delete kit. Way faster to loosen two nuts and slide a plate out then to try and put all the egr shit back in. The exhaust was the only pita, but that was still only about an hours work

they called me earlier today. Said “yeah we got it all aligned and the steering wheel pointing the right way and it throwing a code. Steering sensor. $3200 PART! She said she was contacting Ford and explaining the truck only had 20k miles on it and was well taken care of. She then left me a message that said they were covering all but $670. So yeah. I’m happy. Not happy it happened but at least it’s not over $4000

Got the truck back today. Alignment is spot on! Does drive better for sure. But aside from that.. it ran me $620. I am glad Ford took care of the majority of it.

This is why I'm still loving the ceramic coating on the Expedition. No scrub, just a normal wash and all the bugs are gone.

Her car has ceramic coating on it as well.

Leave the car outside overnight, early in the morning when there is still morning dew/moisture, take used dryer softener sheets and wipe bugs off.

I just soaked it with soapy water and used a micro fiber scrubby thing on a stick. Came off easy.

Waiting on a new ignition switch, basically a 3P, plug n play part

How did that part fail? That's annoying. Can you jump the other plug to start the tractor?

If it does not provide constant power it shuts down the tractor, an ever slight touch/jiggle of the key switch and you lose dash lights as well, I'm really hoping this is the issue!!

From what I read online, contacts behind the switch go bad or really gummed up, it's a known issue with Kuboter, ordered a China one for $38 vs dealer $107.

10hour interval service done, with new cabin air filter and new seat cover.

Since I burned off a lot of brush piles, looks like I had a mouse/rat explore the inside of the engine compartment. I park the equipment over those mothball bags, looks like I need to add something else in addition to keep the critters away. I probably need to feed the farm cats some treats near the equipment carport, to help out with the extra critters.

That flute stlye air chuck works great for canister style tractor/equipment air filters, I picked it from Northern Tool, I'm gonna get the next larger size as well.

Replaced the S60 battery. Old one was 4 years old. I wanted to get one of those fancy X2 batteries but the Batteries+ store was well out of my way vs the Volvo dealership is closer. They were the same price as well.

The OEM battery for this little car is a AGM 800A battery because of the start/stop system. Pretty nuts.

Our XC90 has two batteries, one for start/stop and then the main battery. I've never laid eyes on the main one. It's buried behind the driver side rear tire I believe.
