What have you done to your ride lately?

Wife and daughter have been in Houston since Friday so I was left unsupervised. Decided to lower the value of the Colorado. lol At first it was turning out great, but then as the day went on so did the amount of dust in the air. I need to wetsand it, I will let it harden for about a week before I do that. But its not bad. Also, I should have masked off the entire fucking truck... shit I should have built a Dexter style kill room to paint in. That shit went EVERYWHERE. Anyone decides to use the Spray Max epoxy, do yourself a favor... mask everything! I've been clay baring the truck for about 6-7 hours now and probably have another 3 to go. I've burned up 2 clay bars, on my 3rd and will probably break out a new one before I'm done.

That's Mr Asshole to you
Maybe I would need to see it in person, but I feel like the fender flares need to be painted the same black. Or color matched to the rest of the truck.

Not really my ride but my ride's ride I guess. Threw the kayak up on the trailer to see how it fit. Length is pretty spot on. Small overhang front and rear. Kayak is 128" trailer is 96". Then I ripped the wood off the trailer. I can't stand it being red so it's probably going to get a grinder taken to it and then painted with some Steel It. Thinking before I do that I'll probably weld it all together. I don't need it to fold up and I'd rather add some rigidity to it. Not that it needs it since the heaviest thing it will ever haul is likely my 400lb zero turn (load rating of 1195lb) but it will make me feel better. Pretty flimsy as is (though it was much better before I took off the plywood). I'd rather not have a piece of plywood be the only thing keeping my trailer from folding up like a taco. Also replacing all the lights and will probably put a 7 pin plug on it even though it doesn't need it. That's what the Tacoma has and I'd rather not have to use an adapter every time. I also may use one of the extra pins to be able to charge the batteries as I tow. Not necessary but it won't take much to add it so why not?

Oil change on the Taco, 175K.

All fluids/filters on my son's T4R done at 160k. waiting on a couple skid plate bolts and its done, then double check coolant fluid. The rear diff was a bit dirty, a bit of fines built up on the magnet, but no other debris. I purchased his 4R has with over 155k miles, atleast it wasn't the original oil in the diffs/transfer case etc. The ujoints definitely needed grease.

The ZR2’s do not have fogs in the typical fog location, just the little ones down below. Anyhow picked up this insert that mounts some Auxbeam lights. I like how the insert is the shiny black similar to the grill. I still need to reinstall my Auxbeam switch control box under the hood to connect these to. I removed it when they installed the winch.

I'm running those on my Tacoma and they've been great other than they are wearing fast because I cheaped out and got P rated tires (when I got them, I knew I wasn't going to be wheeling for awhile because of the kiddos not being old enough). My next set will probably be the Toyo RT Pro's that just came out because it has a super beefy sidewall now.

They've been just fine in the rain for me. No complaints on my end on them.

Surprisingly quite too. Dirt, gravel and sand don't seem to bother them at all and highway manners are fine. Still no wet/mud to report.

Finally wired up the Auxbeam control panel. Only have one thing connected to it at the moment. But it works nice, colors area adjustable as it the brightness (and it auto-dims... and has an APP... oh boy!!). I have a pair of Baja Design S1's to replace the OEM lights down by the winch, those fucking things are controlled by a "screen" in the info-tainment center.. fuck that. When I install the Baja Designs I'll run them to the Auxbeam panel.

Back to the front toyota diff's.
I'm plan on ordering a couple more of 22mm China stainless steel made plugs. They are made way better than the Lexus and they come with various washers too.

So I have learned progressive auto insurance sucks. Myself and others in area are having problems with them over the hail damage claims.

I dropped Progressive a few years ago. I have been with Geico but it is time to shop around again. They all suck; the decision is which sucks less on topics that matter the most to you.

I talked with 2 body shops in town, they said progressive used to pretty good til about 2 years ago.

I asked about Farm Bureau and they said they were good to deal with. I didn't go with FB auto insurance because they wouldn't assign the drivers in my household to each individual cars that they primarily drive. Well with 2 boys and 5 -6 vehicles it was like $800 more than progressive. I'm later learning it might have been better to fork over the extra 800. FB took care of is on the house in sub 3 weeks, with check in hand, no hassle. Once I get the roofs replaced, I just need to contact them, they will send someone out for pictures. My agent said if I pocket the check and not do the repairs, they would probably drop me, which they should.
