I was being sincere. Lol. Shit man, you are the one that inspired me to get full into wheeling and start modding my truck. I cannot talk shit about you for wheeling and mean it.

I have seen Sean wheel his old trail rig; but I have never seen the Taco used for anything other than a tow rig. I have seen pics of the trip to BBRSP a few years ago though.

That's why we need to see it in Ouray or Moab. He will love it and his daughter will love it even more!!! :)

If I can get a rack and RTT this winter I am all set for a trip someplace - mountains, beach, or Big Bend; every 3-4 months. You should be able to make it to at least one of those trips.

Just sitting over here in my corner glad I'm not the focus of the "not wheeling" campaign....but I suspect thats because my car sees fire trails almost every weekend :stick:

If some of my customers did not have offices down dirt roads my 4Runner would not see dirt near as often. I wish there was more public land access around here to fix that.

Swapped out my inner CV axle boot last night. Ended up fixing and greasing all my components as well. I used black gasket sealer to seal the ends off. I left the outer on since it was still sealed and looked to be in great shape.

My CV axle hub seal failed and let a bunch of gunk into the inside, so I had to spend a good chunk of time cleaning all that out. I replaced it with a spare seal that I had.

After seeing what the issue probably was, it looks like this aftermarket boot lost it's triangular shape after awhile and it would no longer seal around the axle shaft. I installed the Porsche 903 boot from SDHQ. Hopefully it'll hold up for longer than this one did.

Porsche boot supposed to be stronger?
That's what's people claim. Seems to be pretty thick and sturdy too. It's a little smaller length wise than I'd like.

This will be my last experiment with aftermarket CV boots. If it fails, I'll go back to only using OEM boots.

On that orange boot that failed, I really liked it because it's rather large which made it a breeze to install, the lips where the clamps go were also wide so it held the hose clamp just fine. I guess the polyurethane was too soft or couldn't hold up to a long amount of time.
