What have you done to your ride lately?

Thought I would get a headstart on the wiring. Bitch of the matter is the rock lights have very small gauge wire, maybe 24. I need to tie them into the main feed line which was going to be 14 gauge.. nope.. went with 18 gauge and its still a MOFO to get them connected. I quit before I threw something. I hate humidity and its humid now... and my patience is low. My give-a-fucks meter is pegged at zero for anything at the moment. Besides rock lights are not a necessity on this trip I just want them finished, more of a "While I'm getting shit done lets get shit done" item.

Its best to walk away sometimes. I had to do that with some lights in the kitchen the other day.

I just have way too many things to do before next Wednesday and this is not a priority. That being said I did not get shit done afterwards. LOL

Passenger side UCA bushing movement... I think. Have spares on hand.
Ensure trailer brake are not dragging.
Open up tent and repack with sheets/blankets vs. sleeping bags. Been to humid the past few days to do so.
Repack gear in trailer
Load up trailer
Load up truck
Check solar output on panel .. not a biggie
Connect bed lights to SPOD (already connected to a switch in bed... not a biggie)
Connect rock lights to SPOD.. (no plans of night wheeling...not a biggie)
Brake away wiring... not a big job but also not a biggie.

Rear diff breather
Mount table... @tex you free for a bit Thursday night?
Pack gear/clothes
Remount battery

I think that's my list of right now. Sliders and skid won't be here until after the trip it looks like.

I ended up with the 265/75-16 in the Passenger load range (all it said so assuming C). I have an hour drive to a customer office tomorrow so I will have a pretty good idea on MPG tomorrow when I get home. It seems State Hwy 281 is a pretty good testing ground for hills, traffic, and wind resistance.

They look like a hybrid AT/MT like the good ol Duratracs I have.

I am liking them so far. I already have 200 miles on them.

Anybody using a Fumoto oil drain valve? if so with or without nipple:rolleyes:? Thinking of getting one for easier oil changes and my "shell thing will protect it so no worries there

Yes and with. Good product only problem is getting to the valve switch with a skid plate on.

I got ones with nipples, easy to hook up hose and fill a used container or drop into my 8gallon oil lift drain container. If the nipple don't work with the shell, cut it off, it's brass

Oil changes take a bit longer slower draining of the pan, but a whole lot less mess.
Works great on the ford, because the 'shell thing' actually cover the pan and it has a window that you can remove to access the drain, but I bypass that and hook up a hose and drain from reaching in from the side, or above the skid plate
