What have you done to your ride lately?

Drained old gas from my Honda Rancher aka my mechanized farm horse, seafoamed tank and carb, drained, refilled with premium, cleaned out carb, replaced the old air filter that the foam was disintegrated and micro pieces were probably sucked up in the carb, runs great now, just need to run it till it gets hot for awhile to make sure there is no hiccups with the engine getting fuel.

Forgot to mention I rear ended a Chevy Malibu last week. My cars fine and only has a few broken plastic tabs I need to bend back then plastic weld. Best part of it all - I hit the guy and he took off. Typical Philly lol

Probably a kilo of heroin or dead body in the trunk

I did that once with my 4Runner. I rolled right into the guy at a stop light. He looked around and gunned it through the intersection and hauled ass. The guy beside me was laughing. I was trying to get out and take responsibility but I am not trying that hard.

Man that looks great! You really have done a fantastic job making that rig last a million miles.

Thanks, I'm really happy with how it's turning out and how well the engine is running (as well as lack of oil leaks :) ) Next spring will be the next set of modifications that hopefully will put her over the top for years to come (injectors, new high pressure oil pump). Running out of spare thousand dollar bills at the moment lol

Well crap. About a month ago I was driving to work with the stereo on, low volume and all the sudden "BOOM"! Then a very high pitch sound out the front passenger kick panel speakers. I finally got around to troubleshooting it and discovered my Audio Control DQX is the culprit. Bad news is they no longer sell it and I don't see any Audio Control repair facilities. So... ordered a replacement for it. Its the Audio Control DM-608. Doesn't have the cool DDC like my DQX did but it is controlled via your laptop. Which is fine, once I got the DQX setup I never fucked with the settings via the DDC (and there are a shitload of settings). Good news is the new unit is a little smaller and the inputs are in the same locations so hooking it up should be simple (I probably just fucked myself ).

Old unit... you will be missed.

That's Mr Asshole to you
I liked Audi Control stuff when I was into all that. Started with a 24xs crossover and then got a 3.1 I think. It installed right below the head unit and had several knobs for controlling everything. Huge difference those pieces made in the sound quality.

Oh yeah, there stuff is top shelf. Surprised it crapped out... I guess it is 10 years old though. I didn't see any where on the web to get it repaired but I sent a message to AC to see if they can do it. I don't really have the time to wait to send it off and then get it back before we head west. So I needed something because I've gone too long without tunes in the truck.

I have an old Sony 10 channel crossover I've had for 20+ years.. I debated using it. It still works fine. But I plan to use it with my old ADS PH-15 (6 channel amp from the late 80's... awesome unit) and put it in the little black truck some century.

I also ordered new Crown brake lines. I'm 99% sure these are fine and its just cosmetic, but I really don't want to take a chance. I had a Goodridge line explode on me many moons ago. I had a Crown airline for the front locker get melted against the header and it still worked fine (it was replaced though)... so I "think" the brake line is fine. But that being said, I ordered a new set. I got the 3" over stock length, which should fit a little better since the ones on there are 4" over stock length.

And finally.. I got the RCV axle I've been sitting on, not literally.. no no, for 9 months rebuilt. Now to just get new bolt/nut for the LCA and strut connection. When I installed the Kings my neighbor was helping and somehow a SAE bolt got smoked onto the metric nut via impact gun. So once I get a new one I'll replace the axle when I replace the nut/bolt.

We need to have a CV rebuilding day at your garage. I have a few that need to be cleaned and reassembled.

Stuff like that is why I'm going to miss you guys. I'll still be on the forum, but seems like this is pretty texas-centric forum....

This is your opportunity to grow it. :) But I agree. We do have folks from both coasts though (Morning Glory is on the coast of Texas) but we need some southern exposure. BTW, be sure to stock up on Monkey Butt powder. :) Best of luck with the new job.

Anyone mounted molle panels in their rig before? I ordered a large panel to mount on the back of my back seats for additional storage options. The panel should be here in a few days so we will see how it goes.

I have not, but I bet its pretty straight forward. Just use some short standoffs to give it some space behind it.

Doing a canvas molle mat with sewn on webbing so it will go straight to the back of the seat. I thought about using a hard molle rack but did not want to give up the extra 3/4" for the standoff space. Cargo space is a premium and I am trying to maximize it.
