Got the rear Husky Liner X-act Contour floor-mats today (fronts will be here tomorrow... running late for some reason).. damn those things are nice. I like them MUCH better than the Weathertechs in the Taco. Also got in the mail a Blend Mount to attach my radar detector to the mirror and a mirror-tap with allows me to sneak a power and ground wire into the back of the mirror power plug for switched power without running wires. So yeah man, those "MODS" would be good for about 1500 bonus points on TW... or whatever those homos do these days. LOL

That will most likely be another 4-6 years. When she starts driving more miles for classes and clinical hours I would rather she be in a vehicle with less than 350,000 miles and getting better MPG. If I get the Rav4 started now I can have it paid off before she has to become a full time student.

Shes finally legal. Passed inspection and got my registration renewed. Now she goes to the PDR guy so I can get my flares put back on followed by the detail shop. Need to get a spray in bed liner as well but that'll probably be a ways down the line.

Since I am paying for the parts and swapping out the stuff I can I am posting it this as my Tacoma...

Today I picked up a set of stock tail lights in great shape for $75 to replace the damaged lights that are getting replaced. This is saving me $225 off the insurance quote which will make the deductible a bit easier. This is all from when my sammich maker backed into a tree and pipe fence with the Tacoma. Tomorrow we are dropping it off at the Toyota body shop to get the rest of the body work done.

Once the Tacoma gets back I need to swap the driver's side hub and finally replace the clock spring in the steering wheel. My sammich maker spent some time in an Rav4 this weekend and is finally agreeing with me that she should get one. So the next question will be if I keep the Tacoma for a 3rd vehicle or sell it to put it towards the Rav4.

So the Tacoma was dropped off at the local Toyota body shop yesterday. I ordered a clock spring and new hub today. The Tacoma is getting some much over due attention finally.

Well, after wasting way too much time today I discovered that that is not he correct rack for this rig. Great. The correct one is an additional $600...so that’s gonna wait a while and we will just monitor the leak.

I’ll let ya know. Didn’t get around to doing the rear end today since I took so long to figure out that I had the incorrect steering rack. Hopefully I’ll get the rear end swapped tomorrow

Added the overload leafs and Husky wheel liners, not sure what the rake will be until I get wheels back on.

Crawled around under the truck today to Dsee what all I need to add to my plan to tackle in this thing. Not in any specific order:

Exhaust (rusted to shit)
Steering rack bushings (cracking)
Carrier bearing (trashed)
U joints (they're fine - just changing because they're cheap)
Transmission filter, fluid, and gasket
Transfer case fluid
Diff fluids
LCA bushings need addressed soon
UCA bushings (because might as well do it all at once and TC aren't happening soon)
Upper ball joints (lowers are fine)
Windshield fluid reservoir

I'm sure the list will grow but these are the major things I have to work on before I can have any fun with this thin . Hoping to knock it all out over the next few months and be able to take a trip this fall.
