Ego finally did it and came out with a power inverter to run off their batteries. Hmm now do I really need this or just want this? It would make a hell of a home setup for power loss situations.

Save $25 if you order it soon from Home Depot.

I have the DeWalt version of this that I use for camping. It just has two USB's that come out of the attachment. Just wait until Christmas to buy it once it goes on sale.

With an upcoming trip to BBRSP approaching... and its just the little one and I going (along with @tx_shooter and his lovely wife) I am not taking the trailer. Going to "try" and pack "light". Won't be taking the hitch mounted grill.. just a small single burner stove and this. Picked it up on "of course".. Amazon. $38. Figure for a couple steaks or burgers/dogs/etc it should be fine. Seems pretty nice. Not sure how long it will last but I think it will be fine. Seems very well made. Kiddo thinks its cool.

With your drinking, all I think of is the Cali wildfires....

Was that really jumping? I thought it was more of a combat roll. Might need him to do it again. We really needed to get that on camera.

If he only gave us a heads up.. But NOOOO.. It was jump up out of chair, take 2 running steps and leap of faith. BOOM.. fire! LOL. I can still see it in my minds eye. Priceless.

We need to get another Ozarks trip going. Nice having the no reservation camp sites and large areas to cover. I saw that there are a few open access rifle ranges in the Ozark parks. It would be pretty cool to break out the rifles for some long range shooting up there.

Camped this weekend and my friends with twin 8 month olds came along along with other friends who have a 3yo and 5 month old. They reminded me that all my other friends who say they need to wait for their kids to get older before they take them camping are just bad or scared parents (medical/mental issues aside - talking 100% healthy kids).

My buddy's 3yo girl would run laps around most of my adult friends in regards to proper camp etiquette. That's because she's been camping with them and us since before she could walk.

First camping trip in decades I didn't have any alcohol or smoke a cigarette. Felt nice, but weird. Tell you one thing - waking up at 4-5am with energy was nice compared to waking up at 9am hung over hacking up a lung. I should of tried this healthy living stuff out decades ago lol

I tried giving up heavy drinking years ago. It is nice to wake up the next day feeling decent. Thankfully I never had the smoking issue.

I need to try as well or just get better at moderation when drinking.

I never drink on weekdays...ever. I only drink socially on weekends, but when I do 1 is too much and 12 not enough if you catch my drift. Ill down a 12pk easily and if camping when we start early Ive killed a 30pk in a full days worth of binging then wake up next to some 300lb hog of a woman asking myself WTF happened the night before. Done that far too many times and one of these days my luck will run out. Normal kayak runs I'd drink 12pk over 6-8hrs then come back to camp and kill another....over the next 6hrs.

It is funny; I found that on my trips to Big Bend I drink less even though I have a good amount of beer with me. I just do not have the aggravation or boredom that drives me to drinking. Plus all the driving out there and the roads are still state roads so you can get a DUI if you piss off the Park Ranger.

My plan is to cut way back, I’m really thinking after I run out not to buy anymore beer or alcohol... of coarse I have 5 gallons of various whiskeys and hard liquors.

I am doubtful if Ill ever go 100% dry, but after seeing Kav vilified for what he may or may not have done 30 years ago I know I can be better.

I know I can never run for a political office with as many skeletons as I have, but can't hurt to stop making more. My closets getting filled up.

If I do the Ozarks again, it'll be less fire road driving and more camping and hiking. There was a lot of scenery out there we missed out on.
