Got my lowers engraved! Feels good to have this all behind me and can now run whatever barrel length I want!

Think I'm about to bite the bullet and get this done. I'm itching for an SBR and some hush candles again. Keep talking myself out of it but the time is right. Gonna get a trust setup before the end of the year and then file for my SBR and one or two suppressor stamps before my birthday in March.

eForms are taking between 7 and 10 days right now. One guy even posted proof he got his back within 72 hours on one.

Hmm... may have to try to file for the SBR stamp before the end of the year also then. Then start on the cans after the first of the year.

Freaking awesome. About damn time they stop using the waiting time as a determent to people getting stamps. Now if we can just get suppressors off the NFA list. Then SBRs. And then do away with the NFA list.

I wish they would've put these people on Form 4's instead of Form 1's. I want my suppressors way more than I wanted my SBR stamps honestly...but I guess that's how the government works.

Installed a 16" SLR Ion Ultra Light MLOK rail on my RPR that I pulled off my 18" .223 upper.
I also ordered a Really Right Stuff Atlas Bipod adapter head and all three RRS/ARCA rails from Magpul (they were the cheapest around) to try and see which one fits best on my RPR and my 16" .223 upper I just built.

Bought this on Christmas Eve and it said it shipped that day. Well that was some quick shipping! This is the Really Right Stuff picatinnay/RRS Rail adapter for my Atlas Bipod. It'll fit both.

Picked up a late Christmas present to myself - Vortex Diamondback FFP 4-16x44 scope and a mount to go on my 6.5 Grendel upper. Now I just need to get to the range this weekend to zero this laser. There are a few more changes coming to this rig - a lightweight Nickel Boron bolt and a fixed skeleton stock. After that it should be done till I decide to upgrade the trigger. A bipod set should be here tomorrow. I went with M Lok side mount pods.

Rifle's Only is having an end of year sale. I've taken one of their classes and HIGHLY recommend them. The instructor, Jacob, gets right to the point in the classroom and then you go shoot all day. Their shooting range is fantastic as well. They only have a sale at the end of the year as well.
End Of Year Sale

I ordered a Rifle's Only Carbine/Multipurpose slings for my RPR. I had my RPR slung with my Sniper's Savvy sling while I was walking around my buddies deer lease and it wasn't able to support the weight of the RPR that well (but for use with AR's, I highly recommend the Savvy Sniper). The RPR is just a heavy bitch and my main complaint about the rifle (it's just unnecessarily overbuilt).
Also, ordered some Magpul QDM's to use with the sling since I prefer those over the standard QD sling swivels.

Picking up an XD compact 9mm for the sammich maker tonight. She liked it and it was a little off so it works for me. Now to get her to some gun classes.

*taking advantage of a promo for 3 free magazines with this purchase.

So I traded in my XDm 45ACP compact today to get an XD Mod.2 9mm subcompact. This simplifies my life in that my sammich maker and I both carry the same basic pistol and mags now. In the past I have swapped around spare mags in the vehicles when we had to trade vehicles and such; that problem is gone. We went to the range this afternoon to get some trigger time on the new hole punchers. Both of us noticed that our rounds were impacting a little high and left of the point of aim at 10 yds. I confirmed this by shooting a three shot group from a rest with both pistols. Not the worst issue and definitely something that can be fixed with the sights.

I also ordered the Talon grip tape set for my Mod.2 since the grips are a step above slick. Now I will have to keep an eye out for a discount code on trigger upgrades. They are almost a double action trigger; but not in a double action pistol. The more I shot the more used to it I got, but the trigger in the XD series is not something I have ever enjoyed comparing them to my 1911s. Most importantly now my sammich maker is carrying a 9mm as a CCW instead of a Bersa 380 ACP.

*the thing that made it an easy decision to go ahead and get my XD 9mm today is that today is the last day of Springfield's Gear Up promotion. Buy a new Springfield XD or M1A and get an additional three magazines for free.

Started thinking about getting a Ruger 10/22. Cheap to plink and low recoil for when the kids get older.

Now to just keep an eye out for a sale.
