Got all the metal shavings cleaned up. Got the solar panels permanently secured. Got all the holes where a wires comes into the rack setup with a grommet and then some RTV. Working on some other stuff .. might have it done in a day or three. Just SO.. FUCKING.. HOT! HI was 110.

You need to buy one and install one of those DIY Mr. Cool mini-splits for your garage man.

Got all the wiring up above cleaned up. Doesn't look half bad. I need to add a grommet where the wire runs through the solar panels. I have some black plastic sheet that I was going to cover everything up with. I'll do it once its all done. Next is to get those wires ran under and into the toolbox. Maybe later tonight.

So I was planning to add a USB plug and a 12v outlet to the passenger side of the bed above the 110 outlet. First hole was fine, second one goes through a rib.. so no real way to tighten down the large nut on the plugs. Got an idea.. I'll just mount the plugs to some 3/16's ABS and then cut out the hole big enough. I'll use some rivnuts designed for plastic so I don't crack the bedside. Should work.

Got a bit done today despite the 106 degree heat. Also, that Gorilla tape grip tape is no joke. I was reaching over the side of the bed and the inside of my arms looks like I was fighting a cheese grater and losing. I think I will need to hit it with a chisel or something to remove some of its bite. Anyhow, got the 12 volt panel wired up, awaiting the rivnuts designed for plastic to install it. Also got the mount for my "streetlight" installed and its good. I will use some Velcro cord management straps to keep the cable in check.

Got one other thing done. I swapped out the 2.1 amp USB charger with a new 4.8 amp USB charger. Also used all stainless hardware to hold both outlets in place.

Still pushing forward with my "get one thing done a day" approach. But man I am wiped out at this point. Will probably only clean up the bed and floor under the truck after this tonight. I really need to get under it and tidy up the wiring.. get it all in looms and cushion clamped out of the way. Anyhow, got the passenger side power panel installed. The "white" lines coming up from the top is where my die grinder got away as I made the holes big enough. Whoops.

That's Mr Asshole to you
This all being done for the Ozark trip? Truck hasn't moved more than a few miles in 2 years.

It has moved less than 500 miles in 2 years. :) But the Ozark trip was a motivator, as was recently losing someone close to me who was fairly young.

I was gonna rub some dirt on it. LOL I did see some video where they refinished the composite bed. Might need to watch that again.

Ordered some stuff to refinish the composite bed. Also swapped out the HiLift jack handle isolator with a DayStar version (bonus.. made in America). I must say it feels much nicer. I've had many HiLift isolators fall apart after a year or so. But this seems to be a much better material. Time will tell.

What brand was previous isolator? I've got the isolator and cover from Step22. Also made in the USA. They've held up well.

It was the HiLift brand version. It was a newer one so it was in good condition still. But they don't last that long.

Nooooo the trip to BBRSP last December was the kicker. But project managers screwed you on that one

I bought two isolators and that seems to have helped make them last. The covers fall apart after a year or so in the sun.

Family in town so not as much completed as planned. Did get all the wiring from the rack ran into the toolbox. Ordered some 0 gauge terminals to connect to the circuit breaker. Will crawl under the truck again tomorrow and slip split loom over the wiring and get it zip tied in place. Also order some stuff for the propane setup. Might take a week or more for it to get here.

Kudos to Powertank for shipping this so quickly. Now to await the Flame King 5 lbs tank. I have a 6' extension that should allow me to run the stove off the back of the truck or the Joolca off the side.
