It's that time of year again. Just got my commission check for my years work and big brother took well over 45% of it. I am grateful I was able to work hard and make money for my men & their families, my company, myself, and the local gubment. Every year seeing the gubments gluttony on full display in my payroll spreadsheet really makes me wonder what % the colonists were being taxed before they had enough and pitched the Kings tea into the harbor then gave him the finger.

Developer buys a depressed building in a depressed town to try and turn it around after meeting with the redevelopment arm of the gubment then the historical arm they tells him he needs to keep it the same. Tax strategy. I once heard a well know tax guy tell a group of people in my business, "You don't live in a home, you occupy space in a staging storage area!" Not my strategy but there are plenty of strategies that can limit the hurt.
