What have you done to your ride lately?

So I was working on a better battery holder solution tonight. As I was getting ready to wrap up I decided to quickly throw the jumper cables from the battery on the work bench to cables in the 4Runner. Like an idiot in a hurry I hooked them up backwards. Now nothing will turn on but it does respond to the clicker to lock or unlock the 4Runner. I checked the fuses and it looks like I popped the alternator fuse. The real insult to injury tonight is that I have the windows rolled down in the driveway with good chances of rain tonight and tomorrow morning.

My sammich maker became a shop cleaner real quick and helped me make room to bring the 4Runner into the garage for tonight. Yes - I had to push it in there but thankfully my driveway is sloped into my garage so it was not horrible. Now to get a shower and a new fuse in the morning.

4Runner is running again - all systems check out except the radio for some reason. I will resolve that while working on the e locker switch install.

So this was a fun weekend. I blew the fuses Friday night and then storms rolled in later that night knocking a few of my customers out. So Saturday was spent bouncing back and forth between repairing customer networks and my 4Runner. The e locker wiring harness install was successful although the e locker is froze up. I ordered a rebuild kit that should be here sometime next week.

Some new shoes and 5% tint on the new whip DD. Needs a nice subtle 2" drop to round out the look. First tank with the 1uz netted me 19.3 mpg. Not bad IMO for a 24 y/o car.

There is one on Houston CL right now for 900 bucks Rich. If I didn't want some new tires it would already be bought.

They work well especially with the beadlocks. Just kicking around getting some Stickies. I need to put them to the test at K2 or Wolf Caves to see how they really hook up.
